A brief summary The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activities for allocated shows, ensuring smooth communication across teams, and handling the logistics required to meet production deadlines. This role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders such as the Production Coordination Team, Freelancers, Client Production Manager, and External Partners. A key focus is on asset acquisition, information flow, schedule coordination, and cost tracking to ensure successful project delivery within budget and time constraints. This is a temporary role and will start as soon as a qualified candidate is identified, and is expected to last approximately to September 2026. What you’ll be responsible for • Regional Show Production Management (PM):, • Oversee the acquisition of all necessary assets and information required for allocated regional shows., • Act as a point of contact for show-related queries, ensuring that all production elements are efficiently coordinated., • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Review:, • Conduct regular reviews of production-related SOPs., • Identify areas for improvement and update SOPs as needed to ensure best practices are followed across the team., • Scheduling:, • Work closely with the Head of Department (HOD) to create and manage the production schedule., • Ensure that deadlines are clearly communicated and met by all departments involved in the production., • Rota Scheduling:, • Collaborate with the Production Coordination team to plan and execute team rota schedules., • Ensure the effective allocation of team resources, maintaining coverage across all projects and shifts., • Freelance Request Processes:, • Oversee the process for requesting freelance resources, ensuring smooth communication between production needs and freelance recruitment., • Ensure that all freelance requests align with the production budget and scheduling constraints., • Liaison with Gravity SDM (Service Delivery Manager):, • Serve as the primary liaison between the production team and the Gravity SDM to facilitate any asks, ensuring that all requests are delivered promptly and in line with production requirements., • End of Day (EOD) Reports:, • Manage and review EOD reports for allocated shows., • Provide critical updates and escalate any production issues to relevant stakeholders as required., • Meetings & Stakeholder Management:, • Attend and actively contribute to production meetings for assigned shows., • Represent the production department in key discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring that all production aspects are accounted for., • Cost Tracking:, • Track and monitor the costings for assigned shows, ensuring budget adherence., • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure freelance resources and show-related expenditures are properly tracked and reconciled., • Team Feedback:, • Actively contribute to the review process by providing feedback on team performance in collaboration with the RRR for the team delivery to the client., • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This role is for you if you have • Proven experience as Production Lead, 5+ years in a managerial experience in live broadcast/esports production or similar role., • A degree in an operations, communication or relevant field will be an advantage., • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational, communication and interpersonal skills., • Strong client relations and interfacing skills., • The ability to respond and work during nights, holidays or weekends if required., • The ability to travel on occasion., • Written and verbal communication proficiency., • Organized and strong leadership abilities., • Project management proficiency., • The ability to multi-task, set priorities, and are detailed oriented., • A positive attitude and the ability and energy to initiate action and results. In this management role we’ll be expecting you to • Be the first point of contact for your team for any queries, escalations, and feedback., • Hold regular meetings with each member of your team to align on topics, direction,, • Information sharing, create an opportunity for the team to be heard and sense of, • community., • Regularly review workload across the team to ensure efficiency and balance., • Provide feedback to your team to allow continued growth., • Ensure new members to your team have a thorough onboarding process including regular review during probation (excludes onboarding provided by HR)., • Actively support the development of your team through action plans., • Actively manage poor performance., • Communicate and reinforce key business messages to your team, for example following Manager Meetings, Town Halls, email communications., • Understand key Company policies/processes and help your team to understand., • Be responsive to requests for information to colleagues and other departments., • Ensure your team complete all mandatory training., • Carry out an annual performance review with each member of your team., • Take any necessary steps to ensure that individuals are not subjected to harassment, sexual harassment, or bullying., • Manage day to day spend in line with company objectives, direction and in the interests of the company.
