Job DescriptionJob Title: Registered Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for responding to both inbound and outbound calls, ensuring exceptional customer service while maximizing productivity. This role involves direct interactions with customers, both in-person and over the phone, to address a wide range of inquiries. The technician will answer questions related to pharmacy services, manage delivery inquiries, handle refill calls, and assist with pharmacy-related queries. Additionally, the role involves resolving customer complaints, processing new pharmacy referrals, verifying insurance coverage, facilitating prior authorization requests, transcribing prescriptions accurately, generating reports, and coordinating delivery services. The technician serves as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries and will support pharmacological services by managing insurance information, billing, and updating patient records according to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities • Respond to inbound and outbound customer calls while providing excellent customer service., • Answer and resolve inquiries related to pharmacy services and delivery., • Process new pharmacy referrals and verify insurance coverage., • Facilitate prior authorization requests and transcribe prescriptions accurately., • Generate reports and follow-up with refill requests via escribe, facsimile, or phone., • Coordinate delivery and serve as the primary contact for service-related inquiries., • Support pharmacological services by managing fill list verification and patient records., • Pharmacy technician license., • Strong data entry skills., • Customer service expertise., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access., • Bilingual in English and Spanish., • High School Diploma or GED., • Completion of a board-approved pharmacy technician training program., • Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License., • DME experience., • Telephonic customer service experience., • Prior authorization experience., • Willingness to learn new computer software., • Strong commitment to customer service., • Time management skills., • Teamwork and punctuality. This position is 100% onsite at a specialty pharmacy attached to a community clinic. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday full days and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with an unpaid lunch hour. Technicians are welcome to shorten their lunch breaks to maximize pay. The environment is high volume, with the pharmacy team filling 100-150 scripts per day. The team consists of four technicians and one pharmacist. The work culture is family-oriented, with opportunities for permanent employment, 401k match, tuition forgiveness, and six paid federal holidays while on contract. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plantation, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
