American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/21/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 4x10hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 21, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Hospital-based Cath Lab setting, • 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, • On-call required on both weekdays and weekends, • Patient population includes cardiac cath and interventional procedures, • Procedures include Diagnostic Right & Left Heart Cath, Interventional Cath, and Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, • Additional skills utilized include Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring and Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management, • Epic EMR experience required, • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are consideredRequirements, • Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA required, • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required, • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required, • Cardiac Cath Level I Trauma experience required, • Ability to circulate required; scrubbing preferred, • Experience with Procedural Sedation, Dysrhythmia Interpretation, and Swan Ganz/Pulmonary Artery Line Monitoring required, • Degree must be from an accredited or FBON-approved institution, • Candidates with a degree from a non-accredited institution must also have at least 2 years of consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital, • Epic EMR experience required, • Proof of vaccination status required; declinations are not acceptedAdditional Information, • This is a smoke-free facility, • A pass/fail Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment is required; candidates who do not score 100% on lethal rhythms will be given a re-take exam (Dysrhythmia Exam B) and must pass within 24 hours before starting their first shift, • Re-take passing criteria: overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% in the lethal rhythm section, and 83% or higher in all other sections With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
