Apply now for this rewarding Massachusetts nursing job!\n \n\nPICU RN Job Details\n\n • Location: Worcester, MA (Zip: 01655) – Central Massachusetts healthcare jobs\n, • Facility: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a leading medical center\n, • Contract Type: Travel nursing contract\n, • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/16/2025 – End: 3/17/2026)\n, • Shifts: Day/Night rotation, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00–19:00 & 19:00–07:00)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2360–$2420\n, • Patient Ratios: 2:1 (Days, Nights, Weekends)\n, • Unit Size: 10 beds, average daily census of 7\n, • Weekend/Holiday: Every third weekend/holiday rotation\n\n\nPICU RN Qualifications\n\n, • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license (required prior to start)\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience\n, • Previous travel nurse experience required\n, • Current BLS and PALS certifications\n, • Proficiency with Epic EMR charting system\n, • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n, • Pass/fail Telemetry exam during orientation (minimum score: 80%)\n, • Completion of all pre-start and orientation modules\n\n\nPICU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in the PICU\n, • Administer blood products, anti-seizure medications, antiarrhythmics, and IV vasopressors\n, • Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes\n, • Assist with intubation, ventilator management, and acute airway care\n, • Monitor hemodynamics, intracranial pressure (ICP), and end-tidal CO2\n, • Perform pediatric dosage calculations and rapid response interventions\n, • Provide wound care, vaccine administration, and infection control in a clinical setting\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and social services\n We believe in empowering your career.
