Basic Function Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Lead serves a dual role, providing direct therapeutic services while providing clinical oversight and management of the team. This individual will maintain their own caseload, delivering client-centered counseling aligned with the organization's standards of care. In the leadership capacity, this role will supervise the LPCs, LMFTs, LCSWs, RICs, and SISWs (up to 20) through regular case consultations, performance feedback, and support with clinical documentation and best practices. The Clinical Lead fosters a collaborative, growth-oriented environment, acting as a bridge between frontline care and organizational strategy, helping uphold the culture of the organization. The individual in this role will dedicate approximately 60% of their time to direct client/patient sessions, 30% of their time managing clinicians/therapists, and 10% of their time focusing on cross-functional collaboration, administrative responsibilities, and interacting with the location's overall client/patient community. Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care • Manage a personal caseload, providing therapeutic services., • Assess patient status by obtaining health and mental health history through patient/family interviews and chart reviews; assess presenting illness, risk factor, family history, psychosocial situation, and cultural factors; perform appropriate physical examinations., • Integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, including identification of any health risks., • Prepare and update medical records within 72 hours, including exam results, diagnoses, medications, and treatments., • Communicate case management information to other professionals and community agencies., • Monitor and ensure continuity of care between visits, including triaging patient communications within 24-48 hours. Clinical Leadership and Supervision • Establish and monitor KPIs for clinicians/therapists; conduct audits and performance reviews (90-day, quarterly, annual), with the Clinical Director and provide performance improvement feedback., • Assist with staff transitions, including the reassignment of clients as needed, • Provide supervision, in accordance with regulatory guidelines, to at least one resident in counseling or supervisee in social work, increasing average client hours by two in the absence of a resident., • Availability for clinical consultation with licensed clinicians and residents/supervisees in social work as needed., • Act as a consultant and collaborator to the clinical team on area of specialty. Team Development and Collaboration • Coordinate clinical team meetings focused on enriching clinical knowledge and skill., • Collaborate with the Training Coordinator and Clinical Director to implement a comprehensive agency program., • Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development, and other continuing education and quality assurance activities to demonstrate compliance with standards, regulations, policies, and procedures., • Travel to other Zoe locations to support therapists and foster consistency across sites., • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage acute and long-term medical needs. Education/Experience • 8+ years of experience as a licensed clinician., • 5 years of supervisory and management experience., • Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or related field., • Registered as a board approved supervisor., • Current Virginia state license as LCSW or LPC.
