Job DescriptionDescription: Job Summary: This role plays a central part in shaping and sharing our brand story across digital platforms. The Social Media, Marketing & Communications Specialist is a creative and organized self-starter who understands how to turn ideas into engaging content, stay ahead of social media trends, and build meaningful digital connections. This position supports daily marketing and communications efforts with a strong emphasis on social media management, content creation, Google Business optimization, and coordination across multiple venues. Success in this role requires equal parts in creativity and structure, with an eye for detail, consistency, and follow-through to keep messaging aligned and momentum moving. This role is an in-office position that will require flexibility with times for outside normal business hours based on event/networking schedules. Duties/Responsibilities: Social Media Management • Manage and execute social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging channels as appropriate for each venue., • Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content that reflects each brand’s personality while supporting broader marketing goals across West Village, St. John’s, Meeting Place, and Old Gilman Grill., • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to continuously improve reach, engagement, and relevance., • Monitor comments and direct messages, responding in a timely, professional, and brand-appropriate manner., • Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports with insights, trends, and recommendations for growth.Google Business & Digital Presence, • Manage and optimize Google Business listings, venue websites, and other relevant digital platforms across multiple locations., • Ensure accuracy of hours, contact information, photos, menus, and posts, particularly around holidays, events, and seasonal changes., • Monitor guest reviews and organize a response process, escalating concerns when appropriate., • Support local visibility and SEO efforts through consistent updates and timely content.Marketing & Communications Support, • Assist with the development of marketing materials, campaigns, and communications supporting restaurants, event spaces, and the West Village brand., • Support brand storytelling through captions, short form copy, visuals, and digital content., • Coordinate with internal teams to gather photos, updates, menus, event details, and promotions., • Assist with event promotion, announcements, special menus, and seasonal campaigns., • Maintain content calendars, timelines, and approval workflows across multiple brands., • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining consistency., • Organize and maintain digital assets including photos, videos, menus, and brand files., • Provide administrative and coordination support to marketing initiatives across all venues. Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: • Must be able to communicate in English effectively in writing, telephone, and personal meeting situations., • Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite and other systems, • Proficiency in Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.), • Effective project management skills, strong interpersonal skills., • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability., • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience), • 2+ years of experience in social media, marketing, or communications, • Strong understanding of social media platforms, best practices, and analytics tools, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social scheduling tools, • A proactive self-starter who takes ownership of projects, • Someone who thrives in both creative and fast paced environments, • A team player who communicates clearly and follows through, • A professional who understands how social media supports broader business goals Physical Requirements: • Finger dexterity to type, to write, and work on a computer., • Must be able to walk/stand for up to 8 hrs. per day Note: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
