Job DescriptionDescription: Scope of Work: The Registered Nurse delivers care and treatment to patients with chronic renal disease. This position performs duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse, including supporting and supervising Certified Hemodialysis Technicians. Responsibilities and Expectations: • Assist with clinical and operational procedures to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments, • Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours, • Perform duties as assigned to meet the patient care and/or operational needs of the facility, • Document monthly review of patient medication profiles., • Administer in-center medications as ordered by the physician following the 5 rights of medication administration, • Transcribe orders from medical staff, • Assist with the implementation of anemia management and medication protocols per physician order, • Provide and document patient education and follow up as needed, • Complete patient admissions process as outlined in the policy and procedure, • Complete pre and post treatment physical assessments, • Initiate and terminate patient treatments to include connecting and disconnecting catheters or vascular accesses and cleaning catheter/vascular access sites per policies and procedures, • Obtain blood samples, centrifuge samples and pack labs as required to complete physician orders, • Perform duties at all times under the supervision of the Facility Administrator or Charge Nurse and within limits established by and in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable state and federal laws and regulations, • Follow policies and procedures for personal protective equipment (PPE) use, • Setup hemodialysis machines according to policies and procedures, • Respond to visual and audio alarms on machines; troubleshoot machine alarms, • Remove disposables and clean station after each treatment following policies and procedures, • Direct and lead the team in emergency response incidents, • Obtain pre and post treatment weight of patient per policies and procedures, • Safely initiate and terminate dialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures, and within scope of practice as allowed by state regulations, • Monitor all patients during dialysis treatments at a minimum of every 30-minutes or per policies and procedures with accurate documentation, • Review and approve treatment records ensuring accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment by end of shift, • Maintain supplies in the nurses station and medication preparation area. Assist in keeping supply room clean and organized, • Supervise and confirm proper procedure of water testing at the beginning of each shift by the assigned staff member per policies and procedures. Document quality control logs throughout the day and after all treatments, as required per policies and procedures, • Report any significant information or change in patient condition to the patient physician, • Report machine problems to the Biomedical Technician and Facility Administrator, • Participate in staff meetings as required. Attend in-services and continuing education sessions in compliance with company policies and procedures., • Complete patient rounds with providers, • Assist with staff training as requested, • Participate in team concepts and promote a team environment, • All other duties as assigned Physical Demands and Working Conditions: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Job Description Avondale Global Gateway is a 254-acre former shipyard on Mile 108 of the Mississippi River, redeveloped into a multimodal logistics terminal with significant warehousing and storage capabilities. T. Parker Host acquired Avondale in 2018 from Huntington Ingalls Industries and has since reestablished its iconic prominence into a model of ingenuity. Position Summary: In this position, the team member will perform general labor duties, in according to the below job description for Stevedoring and terminal operations. Duties will include, but not limited to: rigging, painting, housekeeping, trash removal, general upkeep of all Terminal property, and any other duties assigned by management. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: • Responsible for assisting in duties associated with the loading and unloading of vessels or other marine activities and the movement of cargoes within the terminal., • Provide support and labor for Terminal and Rail operations, • Rigging and Responsible for the constant inspection of various rigging and cables used for the discharge and loading of various cargoes., • Stacking/restacking cargo as required., • Banding of cargo using material specific tools., • General upkeep and trash/debris removal of vessels and the terminal., • Basic labor duties in support of stevedoring and warehouse operations in the terminal., • Cleaning and upkeep of terminal and marine mobile equipment., • All labor related functions as required by management., • Accountability for assigned tools, equipment, and PPE., • Shows a willingness to learn other jobs and skill such as operating equipment., • Equipment operation including manlift, small forklift, skid steer., • Working with power tools and hand tools., • The ability to take direction on a variety of labor tasks and execute responsibilities as assigned, • Blocking and bracing of trucks and railcars, cutting and removal of metal bands., • Ability to adjust to different assignments throughout the day/week. Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required: • HS diploma / GED preferred, • Ability to respond to issues quickly, safely and effectively in a fast-paced, stressful operating environment, • TWIC or ability to obtain a TWIC required, • Ability to work outside in all types of weather, • Reliable transportation, • Must be available to work varied hours, shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays as required Physical Requirements: • Must meet “fit for duty” requirements upon job offer (pre-employment physical and drug test), • The employee must meet physical requirements including but not limited to, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up/down ladders and stairs, to include but not limited to Jacobs ladders, ship hold ladders and gangways., • Negotiate uneven and moving surfaces., • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at protected heights., • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus., • Perform work in dusty environment and all types of temperature/weather conditions.
