Job Description Job Overview: The Medical Assistant provides essential support to healthcare professionals by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. This role involves assisting with patient care, managing medical records, and ensuring smooth daily operations within the medical office or clinic. Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties: • Patient Care: Assist with patient examinations, including taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing patients for procedures., • Medical Procedures: Perform routine clinical procedures such as assisting with injections and preparing specimens for laboratory tests., • Patient Assistance: Help patients with mobility issues, and provide support during procedures and treatments., • Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.Administrative Duties:, • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments, manage calendars for healthcare providers, and coordinate referrals and follow-up visits., • Medical Records: Maintain and update patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality., • Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally.General Responsibilities:, • Equipment Management: Prepare and sterilize medical equipment, ensuring that all tools and instruments are clean and in good working order., • Documentation: Ensure all patient interactions and procedures are documented accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations., • Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and best practices to ensure high-quality patient care., • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and their families.Qualifications:, • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
