Job Description Real Estate Associate — Las Vegas, NV Full-Time | 1–5 Years Experience About the Firm Our client is a nationally recognized, full-service law and government relations firm with a 50+ year track record of handling the country's most consequential cases, legislation, and transactions. With more than a dozen offices coast to coast and 600+ professionals — including 300+ attorneys and policy advisors — this is a firm that operates at the highest level of the industry. Their real estate team is one of the largest in the Western United States, trusted by institutional investors, private equity funds, REITs, major developers, and financial institutions on deals that are too complex to hand to anyone else. The Role We are placing a Real Estate Associate with 1–5 years of experience in our client's Las Vegas office. This is not a bench role. From day one you'll be drafting, negotiating, and managing closings on complex commercial real estate transactions — working directly with sophisticated clients and senior attorneys on deals that matter. What You'll Do • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, loan documents, leases, easements, development agreements, and related ancillary documents, • Manage transactions end-to-end — from letter of intent through closing — coordinating with title companies, lenders, municipalities, and opposing counsel, • Conduct and coordinate due diligence on acquisitions and dispositions, including title and survey review, zoning analysis, environmental review, lease review, and entity structure analysis, • Advise clients on the structuring of acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, and real estate financings — including borrower-side and lender-side representations, • Support commercial leasing matters across office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use asset types — including ground leases, retail percentage leases, and industrial and office leases, • Work on real estate finance transactions including construction loans, permanent financing, mezzanine loans, preferred equity structures, and loan modifications and workouts, • Collaborate with land use, environmental, tax, and corporate colleagues to deliver full-service client solutions, • Manage junior associates and paralegals on active matters, • Office, retail, and mixed-use commercial properties, • Industrial and logistics facilities, • Multifamily and build-to-rent residential, • Hotel and hospitality assets, • Land, master-planned communities, and ground-up development projects Required: • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, • Active bar admission in good standing (Nevada bar membership or willingness to obtain), • 1–5 years of substantive commercial real estate transactional experience at a law firm or in-house, • Experience in one or more of: real estate finance, leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, joint ventures, or development transactions, • Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills, • Strong academic credentials and analytical ability, • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Experience representing institutional-quality clients — private equity, REITs, developers, financial institutions, • Familiarity with Nevada real estate law and Las Vegas market dynamics, • Experience with title insurance, survey review, and entitlement/zoning analysis, • Exposure to construction contracts, development agreements, or ground lease structures, • Complex, high-profile transactions across the Mountain West and beyond, • Day-one mentorship from nationally recognized real estate partners, • Collaborative team culture with a genuine path to partnership, • One of the most active real estate markets in the country — Las Vegas deal flow doesn't slow down, • National platform with access to clients and deal types most junior associates never see
