Job DescriptionJob Description Sr IT Cloud/Chef Engineer You will report directly to our IT Manager, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT operations, contributing to the overall success of our cloud initiatives and ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of performance and security. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a proactive manner to ensure seamless operations., • Manage Cloud resources, including provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance tasks., • Execute regular patching of systems to maintain security compliance and system stability., • Identify and resolve technical issues across the infrastructure, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime., • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline operations and increase efficiency., • Contribute to GitHub projects, enhancing existing automation processes and tools., • Collaborate with team members to integrate automation solutions into operational workflows., • Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines (3-5 years)., • Experience with automation/configuration management using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services, • Experience in system automation, orchestration, deployment, and implementation, • Hands-on technical practitioner and individual contributor, • Managing Infra support & configuration of different SCM and Automation tools preferably Chef, Puppet, • Influence other teams and broader Engineering groups in adopting DevOps best practices leveraging Chef/Puppet/Ansible, • Identify reoccurring issues and work with IT & Business partners to remediate using the problem management process, • Monitor and analyze system performance, making recommendations for improvements., • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to advise on potential impacts on the business., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategies and ensure seamless integration of cloud services., • Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and tools to enhance our cloud infrastructure and services., • Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics., • 6 or more years of experience in cloud engineering and architecture., • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud., • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, such as Python, PowerShell, or Terraform, to streamline cloud operations., • Experience with security best practices in cloud environments and familiarity with compliance standards., • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation initiatives., • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
