The Quality & IMS Coordinator leads day-to-day Quality and Integrated Management System (IMS) execution across two manufacturing sites (Saint Louis, Missouri and Connecticut) and provides oversight of product shipped from named third-party drop ship / 3PL vendor facilities. The role sustains the ISO-aligned IMS at the Saint Louis site and leads the Connecticut site through IMS build-out and initial ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification readiness (including internal audits, documented information control, CAPA discipline, and management review preparation). Compensation and Growth Path This is an early-career growth role designed for a candidate with an ISO 9001 internal auditor qualification (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of manufacturing experience who is ready to expand scope with mentoring and clear milestones. • Training and development: Company-sponsored ISO/IMS training and continuous improvement skill-building (e.g., ISO 14001 internal auditor development, supplier auditing, root cause/CAPA facilitation)., • Progression milestone: Lead Connecticut site through initial ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification readiness and successful certification audit, while sustaining the IMS at the Saint Louis site., • Role progression: Demonstrated independent ownership of the full IMS cycle across two sites (internal audits, management review, document control, CAPA effectiveness checks, and supplier oversight) will be evaluated for advancement to Quality Systems Manager scope and compensation. Schedule: • Shift 1: 7:00am – 3:30pm Full-Time, 40 hours per week; overtime may be required based on operational needs. Pay Range: DOE Essential Duties Scope and Key Interfaces • Direct supervision of Quality inspectors/technicians at each plant; matrix coordination with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse/Distribution, Purchasing, and EHS., • Primary point of contact at plant level for IMS implementation, internal audits, corrective action (CAPA), and certification readiness activities., • Project lead for Connecticut ISO 9001/14001 readiness activities, coordinating cross-functional actions and evidence to support successful certification. 1. Integrated Management System (ISO 9001 + ISO 14001) • Maintain, implement, and continually improve the IMS (QMS + EMS) across both plants and applicable third-party sites, ensuring procedures and work instructions are current, controlled, and effectively deployed., • Promote a process approach and risk-based thinking: ensure process maps/controls, risks and opportunities, and relevant objectives are defined, reviewed, and communicated., • Ensure documented information is created, reviewed, approved, updated, and retained per document control and record retention requirements; ensure records are complete, legible, traceable, and readily retrievable., • Support the Quality Director in preparing for and participating in certification and surveillance audits (ISO 9001/14001) and customer/second-party audits as applicable., • Maintain compliance and audit readiness for other customer/industry programs at both sites (e.g., SMETA 4-Pillar, HIGG FEM, Walmart FCCA, and GRS SCOPE), including evidence management and corrective action follow-up. 2. Operational Quality Control and Product Conformance • Plan, prioritize, and assign inspection and verification activities (incoming, in-process, final) using approved methods and templates; adjust to changing production schedules and priorities., • Ensure product and process nonconformities are identified, contained, and dispositioned (e.g., rework, scrap, use-as-is with authorization) and that root cause and corrective actions are completed and verified for effectiveness., • Work with Plant leadership to define and monitor critical-to-quality characteristics, acceptance criteria, sampling plans, and measurement system integrity (e.g., calibration/verification coordination)., • Maintain site scorecards and dashboards for key Quality KPIs (scrap/rework, defects, customer complaints, audit findings, CAPA aging, on-time inspection, etc.) and drive improvement actions. 3. Environmental Management and Compliance Support (ISO 14001) • Support identification and review of environmental aspects/impacts and compliance obligations applicable to plant operations and relevant third-party activities; ensure controls are implemented and monitored., • Partner with EHS and Plant teams to maintain operational controls related to waste management, spill prevention, chemical handling, emissions/noise/dust controls (as applicable), and emergency preparedness and response., • Ensure EMS-related monitoring, measurement, inspection, and recordkeeping requirements are met (e.g., waste manifests, training records, inspections, corrective actions) and readily retrievable for audits. 4. Third-Party Drop Ship / 3PL Vendor Quality Oversight • Ensure outsourced processes and drop ship / 3PL activities are controlled per IMS requirements: define specifications, quality and environmental expectations, and record/traceability requirements., • Support supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and periodic review (scorecards, audits/assessments, corrective actions) for named third-party sites., • Coordinate issue resolution with Procurement and Operations, including containment, returns, supplier corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness. 5. Internal Audits, Management Review, and Continuous Improvement • Plan and execute (or coordinate) an integrated internal audit program across both plants and applicable processes, including follow-up and closure of findings., • Drive timely, effective CAPA: problem definition, root cause analysis, action planning, implementation, verification, and documentation., • Support the management review cadence by preparing inputs (KPIs, audit results, nonconformities, customer feedback, compliance status, objectives progress) and tracking assigned actions to completion., • Coach teams in practical improvement tools (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone, Pareto, standard work) and facilitate cross-functional problem solving., • Supervisory Responsibilities, • Lead, schedule, and develop the Quality team at both plants; define priorities, provide training, and ensure consistent execution of IMS requirements., • Model safe work practices and ensure the Quality team complies with OSHA and site safety rules; stop work and escalate hazards as required Education and Qualifications: Required • High school diploma or vocational/technical certification (post-secondary education in a relevant field is a plus)., • 1+ years of team leadership experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial environment., • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and practical experience with audits, CAPA, and document/record control., • Strong numerical skills and ability to interpret specifications, measurements, and inspection data., • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear reports and train others., • Proficiency with handheld devices/tablets and Microsoft Office; ability to work in shared digital repositories (e.g., SharePoint)., • Experience with ISO 14001:2015 and/or integrated ISO 9001/14001 management systems., • Experience managing supplier quality for outsourced processes, 3PL, or drop-ship partners., • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)., • Familiarity with standard quality tools and methods (e.g., control plans, SPC, gage R&R, AQL, MIL-STD sampling, 8D)., • While English is our baseline operating language, Spanish fluency would be a plus.
