American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in St. Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/10/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is in a hospital-based PACU within a Magnet-recognized, teaching, Level I Trauma Center, • Cares for adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric populations, • Average daily census is 70-90 with 38 patient bays, • Recovers a diverse range of surgical cases including neuro, ENT, plastics, ortho, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant (excludes open heart surgeries and liver transplants), • Works night shift (3x12s, 19:00-07:30); no weekends, no call, no holidays, • Clinicians will float within their scope to meet hospital needs, • EPIC EMR is used throughout, and experience with EPIC is required, • Unit has its own PCT/transport team, • Responsibilities include recovering post-operative patients, managing acute and complex cases, and providing critical care interventions, • Travelers are expected to float as needed and may need to prepare pre-op patients during night shift, • Scrub color is navy blue, • Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as travelers, • All travelers may stay up to 18 months before a mandatory 3-month break, • No more than 7 days of requested time off during a 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation, • Fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper fit, • Daily parking is $15 or $70 per month\n \n Requirements\n, • Active MO or Compact RN license required at time of consideration, • BLS and ACLS certifications required, • At least 2-3 years of Level 1 ICU experience required, • Critical care and inpatient experience including skills in dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV starts, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, and the care of ventilated patients, • Experience with Phase I PACU in a Level I Trauma Center preferred, • Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (no local candidates), • First-time travelers are accepted, • EPIC charting system experience required\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
