Position Summary The Director of Sales Planning leads the sales planning team, acting as the key link between customer/field sales and corporate partners to drive sales strategy and revenue optimization. This role works cross-functionally to align strategies and initiatives and communicates them effectively to the field sales team. The Director of Sales Planning develops and tracks KPIs to ensure sales execution, identifies opportunities to maximize sales with target customers, and leads the trade budgeting process, setting direction on frequency and depth of discount across product platforms. Where You'll Work This role is based at our Waltham, MA headquarters. Welch's hybrid work schedule includes three in-office days (Monday–Wednesday) with Thursday and Friday as remote/flex days. What You'll Do • Partner cross-functionally to develop Strategic Growth Plans (SGP) and Annual Operating Plans (AOP) that align with corporate objectives and customer priorities., • Build and deliver customer channel innovation presentations with strategies for category growth, consumer insights, marketing, promotions, pricing, merchandising, and shelving., • Deliver accurate volume and profit projections, analyses, and results that support financial objectives., • Analyze and communicate KPIs across customers and product platforms, providing insights and recommendations for improvement, • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for distribution, shelving, pricing, and promotions to drive market share and profitability., • Establish and manage trade rates for customers to ensure promotional are effective and deliver strong ROI., • Lead discovery sessions with strategic customers to identify new growth opportunities and strengthen partnerships, • Lead and mentor a team of sales planning professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities., • Foster a culture of strategic thinking, collaboration and continuous improvement, empowering the team to deliver innovative solutions that drive growth. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • 10+ years of experience in Sales Planning, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Category Management, Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, or customer-facing sales., • 7+ years of experience in food, beverage, and/or CPG industries., • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and inventory management., • Strong knowledge of major retail customers.
