Job Description General Manager – Roofing & Home Improvement A locally owned and respected roofing company in Tulsa, OK is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations and support continued growth. With 35+ years in business, a team of 55 employees and 50 subcontractors, this debt-free and profitable company specializes in roofing, sheet metal, and guttering services. The role is ideal for an experienced leader with a background in construction, remodeling, HVAC, or home improvement. Position Overview: This individual will work closely with the owner to manage production, sales, and office departments, streamline operations, and build high-performing teams. Roofing experience is a plus, but not required. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management • Lead daily operations across production, sales, and office., • Support 2 Production Managers, 2 Sales Managers, and 1 Office Manager., • Oversee 55 employees and 50 subcontractors to ensure productivity, safety, and quality., • Improve systems, reduce costs, and enhance workflow efficiency., • Monitor production schedules, inventory, and budgets in coordination with accounting., • Ensure jobs are completed on time, on budget, and meet quality standards. Sales Strategy • Collaborate with Sales Managers to maintain lead flow and pipeline health., • Ensure consistent execution of sales processes., • Analyze sales data and support performance improvement., • Process Improvement & Technology, • Improve communication and systems across departments., • Support adoption of tools that improve efficiency (QuickBooks experience preferred)., • Define and enforce clear processes and performance metrics. Team Leadership • Promote a positive company culture aligned with core values., • Mentor department heads and foster employee development., • Support retention through coaching, recognition, and resources. Financial Oversight • Partner with ownership and accounting to manage budgets and track financial performance., • Recommend operational improvements that impact profitability. Qualifications: • 5+ years in a leadership role within construction, HVAC, remodeling, or a similar industry., • Proven experience managing both employees and subcontractors., • Strong knowledge of operations, project management, and process optimization., • Familiarity with sales processes and team collaboration., • Comfortable with QuickBooks, project management software, and general tech tools., • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills., • Construction site knowledge and understanding of job-site safety and quality., • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
