Job Description Automation Technician Warren, MI| Full-Time | 1st Shift | Do you enjoy solving complex problems, keeping equipment running at peak performance, and working with the latest in automation technology? We’re seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at our Warren, MI manufacturing location, and play a key role in installing, programming, and maintaining automated industrial systems. In this role, you’ll also support facility maintenance projects and serve as the main point of contact for facility-related issues. This is your chance to use your expertise in robotics, controls, and mechanical systems to drive innovation, improve production processes, and ensure maximum equipment effectiveness—all while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance. What You’ll Do • Test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes and robotics., • Install retrofits to existing systems and troubleshoot hardware and instrument problems., • Maintain automation processes and writing reports., • Experience programming Fanuc robots or similar., • Experience programming Allen Bradley/Rockwell., • Industrial Networks Knowledge. (Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, Profibus, ControlNet.), • Thorough knowledge of power distribution applies to machine controls., • Basic knowledge in the design and application of fluid power controls. (hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum)., • Thorough knowledge of electro-mechanical control devices. (Optical, inductive, capacitive sensors / contactors, relays, switches / power supplies and transformers / motors and motor starters.), • Test, troubleshoot, and oversee integration of new processes and robotics., • Assist with integrating robots into existing machines., • Assist with integrating standard vision systems., • Perform other duties as assigned regarding production improvements., • Support start-up activities., • Respond to calls for assistance., • Comply with safety regulations and protocols., • Assist with completion of preventive maintenance., • General fabrication skills, Capable of constructing Robot EOATs, Machine guards, Sensor brackets, etc., • Assist with Facility Maintenance duties as needed., • Assist in completion of Facility Maintenance preventive maintenance., • Coordinate and process purchase orders for maintenance parts, tools, and supplies., • Oversee vendor relationships with Production Manager, including sourcing, scheduling, and evaluating service providers for facility and equipment maintenance., • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)., • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management., • Ability to cope with stressful situations and maintain a professional and cooperative temperament., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and assignments as required., • Completion of a 2-year degree or technical certificate program OR equivalent manufacturing experience., • Hands-on experience with robot setup, programming, and integration., • Familiarity with database and network operations., • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills., • Ability to read technical documentation and write clear reports., • Safety-first mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment., • Health Care Benefits effective date of hire, • Holiday Pay, • Vacation Pay, • Tuition Reimbursement, • Growth Opportunities, • Dental, • Vision, • Medical/Prescription Coverage, • Life Insurance, • Wellness Reimbursement, • Referral Bonus, • Flexible Spending Plans, • STD/LTDCompany DescriptionMayco International is a technology-driven manufacturing leader headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan, with more than 7,000 employees across 45 plants worldwide.
