Job Description Job Title: Warehouse / Material Handler and Delivery Associate Job Description This role combines hands-on warehouse operations with part-time local delivery responsibilities. You will start by staging and quality-checking orders and supplies for shipment, using RF scanners, pick sheets, and internal inventory systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Over time, you will train to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment, and you will also perform local deliveries as part of a flexible weekly schedule. Responsibilities • Stage customer orders and supplies for shipping to ensure they are organized, complete, and ready for loading., • Perform quality checks on orders and inventory to verify accuracy, detect damage, and confirm that outbound shipments meet requirements., • Use RF scanners, pick sheets, and internal inventory systems to locate, pick, and process orders accurately., • Pick and stage orders for loading onto trucks, arranging items to maximize accuracy and efficiency during loading and delivery., • Operate material handling equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks, after receiving proper training., • Handle general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, kitting, packaging, loading, and unloading materials as needed., • Support shipping and receiving activities by checking in inbound materials and preparing outbound shipments., • Maintain inventory accuracy by following established processes for order pulling, staging, and documentation., • Participate in ride-along training to learn delivery routes, procedures, and customer service expectations., • Perform part-time local deliveries once trained, ensuring safe driving, timely deliveries, and professional interactions with customers., • Assist with both warehouse and delivery tasks as needed to support team coverage and accommodate schedule flexibility., • Experience with material handling in a warehouse or similar environment., • Ability to use RF scanners and follow pick sheets for order picking and inventory processing., • Proficiency in staging orders for shipping and loading onto trucks., • Experience or strong aptitude for forklift operation, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, with willingness to train., • Experience in order picking, packing, and order pulling for shipping and receiving operations., • Ability to perform quality checks on orders and inventory to ensure accuracy and detect damage., • Familiarity with inventory accuracy processes and internal inventory systems for order picking and shipping., • Capability to perform general labor tasks such as kitting, packaging, pallet jack operation, and loading., • Willingness to perform both warehouse work and part-time delivery duties., • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing outbound shipments and checking inbound materials., • Experience using warehouse equipment and systems beyond RF scanners, such as internal order management tools., • Comfort working in a smaller team environment and supporting multiple functions as needed., • Strong attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure correct order fulfillment. The location maintains a team-oriented culture, with a modest-sized staff that supports collaboration and cross-training across roles. Work Environment This role is based in a smaller warehouse location with a total team of about a dozen people, including a sales team. You will split your time between warehouse operations and local in-town deliveries. The typical schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Deliveries are primarily scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while warehouse work is typically performed on Tuesday and Thursday, with flexibility to adjust to cover vacations or operational needs. The work environment involves regular use of RF scanners, internal inventory systems, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. You will work in a hands-on setting that includes staging, picking, packing, loading, and unloading materials, as well as driving for local deliveries. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
