Job Description Job Summary AURĀE Modern Medical + Spa is seeking a compassionate, intuitive, and highly skilled Licensed Acupuncturist to join our growing integrative wellness team. This position will begin as a contract role, with a clear pathway to full-time employment as client demand and scheduling needs expand. This role is ideal for a practitioner who is passionate about holistic healing, patient-centered care, and integrative wellness, and who values delivering a grounded, high-touch client experience in a modern, luxury environment. The ideal candidate blends clinical expertise with a calming, relational presence and takes pride in creating personalized treatment experiences that support long-term wellness and balance. Engagement Type: Contract-to-hire Schedule: Based on client bookings and demand Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive client consultations, including medical history, lifestyle, and wellness goals, • Assess clients using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles and clinical observation, • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote healing, balance, and overall wellness, • Perform acupuncture treatments, including accurate point location and needle insertion based on client anatomy and condition, • Utilize complementary modalities as appropriate, which may include:, • Cupping therapy, • Moxibustion, • Gua sha, • Acupressure, shiatsu, or tuina, • Heat and/or cold therapies, • Ayurvedic Counseling, • Monitor client responses during and after treatments, adjusting care plans as needed to optimize outcomes, • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify plans to support continued progress, • Formulate and/or dispense herbal preparations based on individual client needs, • Educate clients on herbal usage, including dosage, duration, contraindications, and potential interactions, • Incorporate nutritional and supplement recommendations aligned with treatment goals, • Ensure safe and appropriate use of all integrative therapies within scope of practice, • Educate clients on holistic health practices, including nutrition, movement, stress management, and lifestyle modifications, • Provide guidance on topics such as meditation, breathing techniques, ergonomics, and overall wellness, • Deliver a calming, personalized, and high-touch experience that fosters trust and long-term client relationships, • Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes, • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, including South Carolina licensure requirements, • Follow established clinic protocols related to safety, sanitation, and infection control, • Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of all acupuncture and herbal materials, • Collaborate with other AURĀE practitioners and wellness providers to support a comprehensive, client-centered approach, • Consider and integrate Western medical perspectives when appropriate, • Refer clients to other healthcare providers when conditions fall outside scope of practice, • Assist with scheduling, booking, and maintaining an efficient client flow, • Support front-of-house responsibilities as needed, • Maintain a clean, organized, and serene treatment environment, • Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative team culture, • Stay current on advancements in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and integrative wellness practices, • Active South Carolina Acupuncturist license in good standing, • Master’s degree or higher in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine from an accredited institution, • National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certification (or eligibility, as applicable), • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills within TCM framework, • Knowledge of herbal medicine and integrative therapies, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Prior experience in a wellness clinic, med spa, or integrative health setting, Ayurvedic counseling, • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams, • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, • Interest in building and maintaining a consistent client base, • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry:, • Up to 15 lbs. regularly, • Up to25 lbs. frequently, • Tips and add-on service opportunities, where applicable, • Medical Insurance if full-time, • Supportive, peaceful work environment rooted in wellness and balance Why Join AURĀE This is an opportunity to grow organically, deepen your practice, and become part of a wellness community that values presence, intention, and sustainability.
