Their focus is on high risk labor for women age 14-55. Job Description • • Perform structural analysis using classical hand analysis methods and finite element analysis on metallic and non-metallic structure, • • Understands customer requirements and prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. structural analysis reports, specifications, etc.), • • Prepares and presents design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers, • • Review designs for preliminary sizing of structural reinforcements and load path definition for structural modifications, • • Support design process from preliminary/conceptual design through critical/detail design, • • Write structural substantiation reports that meet technical requirements for the program and certifying authority (FAA/EASA/MIL cert), • • Assess primary structure, secondary structure, and flight test installations from a static strength perspective, • • Perform fatigue and damage tolerance assessments based on customer’s mission profile requirementsQualifications, • • You must have a Bachelor of Science degree or above in Engineering from an accredited University., • • You must have a minimum of 10 years engineering experience in stress analysis., • • You must have proficiency in FEM tools (i.e. Patran and Nastran)., • • You must have proficiency with all Microsoft Office software applications., • • You have proficiency with CATIA V5., • • You have an understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures., • • You must have excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to interface constructively and effectively in a cross functional team environment., • • You must be able to work independently and efficiently multitask., • • You must have a good understanding of aircraft structural load path and have experience with analysis methodologies for various primary and secondary structural components., • • You are eligible to view and handle ITAR material. Position Summary: The Project Engineer will be responsible for design on multiple projects, directing and/or leading other design professionals within their discipline, and working with other design disciplines internal and external to PEC to develop engineering solutions for PEC’s Clients. This position will be responsible for providing design deliverables for a variety of projects, while maintaining PEC’s standard of excellence. This position utilizes BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer-based calculations. Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for project completion in accordance with qualify assurance policies, standards and project specifications, • Prepare and review engineering plans and drawings, • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies, • Performs and/or directs engineering design, coordination with other design staff for construction document and specification production in compliance with building codes, construction administration, and development of reports/studies, • Serves as an advisor to the Project Manager, identifying and communicating any potential risk to the project in a timely fashion, • Performs and/or directs design computations by hand and by computer software, • Uses experience, education, and judgement to make informed decisions. Retains knowledge and builds on previous experiences to increase capabilities in breadth and complexity, • Organizes multiple projects and tasks and completes them in a timely manner, on schedule, and per PEC Standards. Oversees tasks that have been delegated to other engineers and support staff, • Effectively communicates and coordinates with the Design Team to complete design tasks on numerous projects, • Perform quality control reviews at appropriate milestones, • Mentors, trains and develops less experienced staff, • Participates in business development activities to include developing and maintaining relationships with clients, • Ability to work independently and with others, with minimal supervision., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing engineering plans, reports, and documentation, • Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and design standards, • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills., • Knowledge and skill in determining project requirements, setting project scope of work, determining design budgets, determining preliminary construction budgets, and review of contracts., • Strong work ethic, • Experience with computer aided drafting and modeling using industry accepted software., • Minimum of a B.S. Degree in an appropriate field of study from an accredited college is required.
