Job DescriptionACX Community Operations Specialist Location: Newark, NJ Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Contract Details • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 7 months, • Pay Rate: $29.42 $51.49 / Hour (USD), • Shift / Schedule: Days (First Shift), • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job Summary The Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX) Community Operations Specialist will conduct work that enhances the global presence of ACX, a creator marketplace that connects rightsholders with performers and producers to create their audiobooks. The ACX Community Relations team works with internal stakeholders as well as the "indie" creator community to enhance existing and create new policies and programs that serve the ACX community. You are a fast learner who will master the intricacies of ACX's operations while simultaneously serving as a business partner to members of the creative community. You are passionate about working with creators and have a solid understanding of their needs. You thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-changing, and collaborative environment where people are driven, enthusiastic, and not afraid to take risks. This position is being hired to support the Hiring Manager while a team member is on maternity leave, and the contractor will help manage operational work, perform data analysis, support fraud investigations, and improve operational efficiency through the use of GenAI tools. The role is highly analytical and requires someone who can interpret data, communicate business findings, and write clear, professional messaging for creators and stakeholders. Candidates with experience supporting marketplace platforms (buyers/sellers, creators/customers, vendors, etc.) or working with creative professionals will be viewed favorably. A prior understanding of the audiobook industry or audiobook publishing ecosystem is considered very important. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and provide support for tasks, projects, and meetings for the ACX Creator & Community relations team, particularly related to Fraud prevention, Royalties questions, and other escalations, • Maintain policy documentation and support various programs that support the ACX community, • Learn and leverage new tools including AI-powered platforms to manage data and list creation for email campaigns sent to our ACX community, • Analyze and leverage data including royalty statements and emerging compensation models to drive and inform critical business decisions, • Act as a trusted voice of the ACX community to our leaders in Product, Risk Management, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Customer Care, and other internal teams, • Apply strategic thinking to navigate complex fraud scenarios, collaborating with Risk Management and Legal teams to protect the ACX ecosystem, • Draft policy language, communications, and program verbiage with sensitivity to legal nuance and brand voice, • Analyze operational data using Excel and Tableau, • Support fraud investigation efforts, • Generate business communications and consultation verbiage, • Improve operational efficiency through GenAI tools, • Communicate professionally with creators, authors, and narrators, • Assist the Hiring Manager with operational reporting and analysis Data They'll Be Working With: • Number of audiobook titles created, • Contract types associated with creators, • Relationships between authors and narrators, • Marketplace activity and operational metricsRequired Skills, • Strong analytical mindset, • Excellent written communication / business writing (including legal/compliance-style messaging), • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-changing environment, • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage projects and competing priorities, • Team player with the ability to work effectively in a high-energy, rapidly evolving organization, • Up to date with emerging trends on social; passionate about building online communities, • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills, • Expert-level proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and strong skills in PowerPoint, • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data analysis, Filtering and manipulating large datasets, • Ability to leverage Tableau dashboards; comfortable extracting insights from reports and operational data, • Comfort with AI-powered tools and a willingness to adopt emerging technologies; comfortable using AI tools to improve operational efficiency, • Ability to think strategically and synthesize complex information across legal, financial, and operational domains, • Broad awareness of popular culture across media types, • A positive attitude and sense of empathy, • Ability to write professional business communications and draft messaging around complex operational or legal scenarios, • Ability to communicate effectively with creators and internal stakeholders and demonstrate strong business acumenPreferred Skills, • Passionate about books, audiobooks, and indie publishing, • Strong familiarity with ACX, our creators, and our community, • Bilingual is a plus; Spanish is the most preferred secondary language; additional languages that would be considered a plus include German, Italian, and French, • Experience with marketplace businesses, • Experience working with creators, authors, publishers, or other creative professionals, • Familiarity with audiobooks or audiobook publishing, • Fraud investigation or trust & safety experience, • Tableau experienceEducation Requirements, • College degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar requiredRequired Experience, • 1 year of experience working with data, analytics, and AI systems/tools, preferably within audio, television, film, music, or other comparable areaNice-to-Have Experience, • Experience with marketplace businesses, • Experience working with creators, authors, publishers, or other creative professionals, • Familiarity with audiobooks or audiobook publishing, • Fraud investigation or trust & safety experience, • Tableau experience, • Strong Excel and data analytics experience, • Marketplace, operations, trust & safety, fraud, or community operations experience, • Exposure to Tableau and GenAI tools, • Corporate operations experience, • Interest in or familiarity with the audiobook/creator ecosystemWork Environment / Physical Requirements, • 100% Onsite New York, five days per week for the full six-month assignment, • Interview process: typically 2 roundsBenefits, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans, • 401k Retirement FundAbout the Client This client is a world-leading technology and digital media company operating in the spoken-word entertainment and audiobook space, serving audiences across more than 180 countries and offering content in 50 languages.
