The Senior Brand Manager will lead strategic marketing initiatives for Krylon, Purdy, Dupli‑Color and VHT within the Consumer Brands Group portfolio. This role is responsible for driving brand growth, elevating consumer engagement, strengthening retailer partnerships, and delivering compelling, insight‑driven marketing plans across a multi-brand, multi‑category portfolio. As a key leader on the team, the Senior Brand Manager will develop and execute integrated marketing strategies, lead agency partners, oversee content and digital initiatives, and represent the brands with customers and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong collaborator, and effective people leader with proven experience shaping brands and influencing business results. This is not a remote/hybrid position and will report to our downtown Cleveland, OH offices 5x a week. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: • Strategic Brand & Portfolio Leadership:, • Lead the development and execution of annual brand strategies, portfolio priorities, and long‑term brand plans., • Define and articulate brand positioning, promise, and target audience insights in partnership with cross-functional marketing partners., • Ensure all brand activities build equity, drive category share gains, and support profitable growth., • Integrated Marketing Planning & Execution:, • Develop and oversee integrated marketing plans across paid, owned, and earned channels, ensuring consistent messaging and strong storytelling., • Lead the creation of brand advertising and marketing campaigns that align to brand strategy and retailer needs., • Deliver clear, actionable creative briefs and guide agency partners through concepting and execution., • Retail & Customer Marketing Leadership, • Serve as the strategic brand marketing lead in key customer meetings, including Product Line Reviews, joint business planning, and major new product/campaign launch presentations., • Build retailer-specific marketing strategies - including brand marketing, influencers, retail media, and digital optimization - to support channel growth., • Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to align brand plans to customer priorities and category strategies., • Content, Digital & Influencer Strategy, • Lead the development of branded content across social, website, email, influencer, and retailer digital platforms., • Establish content strategies, measurement frameworks, and KPIs to improve ROI and drive stronger consumer and customer engagement., • Partner with internal teams to support website updates, social calendars, influencer programs, and digital campaign performance., • Insights, Analytics & Performance Measurement, • Translate consumer insights, category trends, business performance, and competitive data into actionable strategies and investment recommendations., • Track and report performance of marketing initiatives, optimizing plans based on learnings and analytics., • Cross-Functional Collaboration, • Build strong partnerships with Product, Channel, In-Store, Category Insights, Sales, Digital, Finance, Marketing Communications, and Legal to ensure seamless marketing execution., • Influence cross-functional teams and champion the brand perspective in key business decisions., • Agency Leadership, • Manage relationships with creative, media, and PR agencies, as well as internal agencies, ensuring output aligns with brand strategy and delivers high-impact results., • Lead contract negotiations and oversee agency budgets and performance., • Team Leadership & Talent Development, • Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching for Brand Managers, Associate Brand Managers, Assistant Brand Managers, and co-ops., • Build marketing capabilities across the team through ongoing development, feedback, and mentorship. Partner closely with Brand Director on talent development opportunities., • Budget Management, • Oversee annual brand budgets, including brand marketing, agency, creative, PR, and media spend., • Ensure responsible, strategic allocation of dollars to maximize impact and ROI. FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: • MBA/MS preferred KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: • 8+ years in Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Communications, or Product Marketing with increasing responsibility, • 3+ years of experience leading teams or coaching direct reports, • 3+ years of P&L and/or marketing budget responsibility, • Proven ability to lead integrated marketing plans and agency teams, • Strong understanding of the marketing mix and fundamentals, • Results-driven, analytical mindset with strong strategic thinking skills, • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills, • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, • Ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams, • Comfort with learning and adopting new technology systems, • Preferred:, • Experience in consumer packaged goods or specialty consumer brands, • Experience managing a multi-brand or multi-category portfolio, • Experience with retailer or channel-specific marketing, • Previous advertising or marketing agency experience TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: • 20% or more
