Job Description SUMMARY: The MRO Inventory Specialist is responsible for all MRO and inventory functions, including oversight of counting, tracking, storage, and optimization of parts, materials, and equipment for the facility. Ensures availability of critical components to support plant operations and equipment reliability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leads and owns the facility’s inventory management program, ensuring accuracy, organization, and accountability of all parts, materials and production inventory., • Coordinates, prepares requisitions, and purchases maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment., • Places parts into proper locations within eMaint and creates new locations as needed to maintain organization and traceability with the direction of the maintenance planner., • Conducts monthly cycle counts and leads year-end physical inventory., • Maintains optimal inventory levels by analyzing usage trends, monitoring critical spare parts, and adjusting reorder points to support operational uptime., • Maintains computerized and paper records and generates inventory reports using eMaint, ROSS, and others., • Enters data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments into eMaint, ROSS and other programs as required., • Arranges transportation and shipment of parts., • Maintains accurate and updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system., • Serves as the primary point of accountability for all daily stores activity, including issuing parts and managing storeroom operations., • Identifies and implements inventory control and process improvements to reduce costs, improve accuracy, and enhance parts availability. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or associates in supply chain, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred, • Two or more years’ experience in MRO spare parts management in food and beverage manufacturing environment or equivalent knowledge of other MRO inventory programs preferred., • Demonstrated experience owning or leading an inventory control function, including cycle counts, inventory accuracy, storeroom organization, and vendor management., • Strong understanding of inventory control systems, storeroom management practices, and ERP/CMMS platforms (eMaint, ROSS, or similar)., • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and procurement partners, both verbally and in writing., • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review usage trends, determine optimal inventory levels, and resolve discrepancies., • Functional negotiating skills with the ability to evaluate quotes, leverage vendor relationships, and support cost savings initiatives., • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability., • Proficiency with computers and electronic office equipment; comfortable learning new software and systems.
