Learn more: _ What You’ll Do As a key member of the Finance team, you’ll help shape health and wellness outcomes for people around the world. The Director, Finance (US Operations) is responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting and financial responsibilities, financial reporting, internal controls, treasury, tax, forecasting and performance management for US Operations. This role is the primary finance executive for the entire US operation, accountable for financial stewardship, governance, performance management and strategic decision making. The role partners with the Managing Director to shape strategy, allocate capital, manage risk, and drive growth, while ensuring the US operation operates in full alignment with Jamieson’s global finance, accounting and governance standards. The role acts as a key bridge between corporate finance and US leadership, translating strategy into execution while providing independent financial challenges, insight and leadership. The Director, Finance, is highly influential across the business, leading the development and maintenance of KPIs and tools to measure financial performance across commercial, operational and support functions. The Director will train, develop and lead a high-performing finance team to identify opportunities and provide recommendations aligned with the business’ short-term and long-term objectives. Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties Leadership & Strategy • • The primary finance executive for the entire US operations, accountable for financial integrity, governance and performance outcomes, • • A trusted advisor to the Managing Director and US leadership team on strategy, investments, risk and opportunities, • • Drive a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance team; foster collaboration between other departments to drive business alignment and shared success, • • Lead, coach and develop the US finance team, building succession and growing capabilities within the team, • • Represent the US business in enterprise finance related matters, including planning cycles, LRP and other transformational initiatives; supporting the strategy, translating it into financial plans, and enabling execution, • • Provide financial analysis and recommendations on key commercial and operational decisions for the US operations Financial & Accounting • • Accountable for end-to-end finance and accounting functions, including consolidation, reporting, cash management, payroll, operational and commercial finance, • • Ensure compliance with local regulations and global financial policies (IFRS), delivering accurate and timely reporting, • • Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies, internal controls, while customizing for the US were applicable Tax & Treasury • • Oversee all tax planning activities, transfer pricing, compliance, and reporting in the US, ensuring efficiency and adherence to regulatory requirements, • • Manage cash flow, working capital, and local banking relationships to support operational and growth needs Business Partnership & Strategic Planning • • Lead the multi-year financial planning (LRP), including the AOP/budget, latest estimates, with clear assumptions and alignment to enterprise strategies., • • Evaluate capital investments, pricing strategies, business cases, margin improvement initiatives and other alternatives (make/buy decisions) to maximize enterprise ROI and cash flow., • • Partner with commercial, supply chain, operations and US leadership team to drive process improvement initiatives and financial accountability for budgets with scorecards, KPIs and other tools to improve operating efficiencies., • • Support the negotiation of major contracts, evaluating their impact to the business and overall strategy, • • Drive execution of significant opportunities and risks (e.g. business opportunities, liquidations on exposure, optimization initiatives, etc.) Corporate Leadership & Culture • • Establish and continuously elevate the finance operating model for the US, including role clarity, capability development and resource planning., • • Partner with the MD to build a high-performing cross-functional leadership team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability, while owning the strategy, cadence and follow through for engagement actions, • • Run headcount governance (planning, approvals, pacing, trade-offs) to protect the P&L while ensuring strategic resources are priorities, critical roles are filled, improving organizational discipline and resource allocation across functions., • • Identify and lead automation opportunities which reduce manual work, leveraging AI to transform transactional work and improve decision making across the business Transformational & Systems Leadership • • Be the US finance lead and sponsor of systems improvements including ERP, to drive value for the business, system controls and user adoption., • • Lead the standardization and simplification of finance process in line with global design and operating effectiveness., • • Lead the financial decision making on complex transformation changes, including the category and channel expansion, digital initiatives, AI adoption, cross-border implications and other strategic initiatives. You may bring experience in: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting., • Canada or US CPA designation or MBA required., • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role., • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and support business outcomes., • Experience successfully leading full-scope financial audits for enterprises under IFRS., • Experience in a public company, multi-entity, multinational cross-border environment., • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills., • Experience in the CPG manufacturing industry., • Experience working with US-based customers and strong knowledge of the retail trade and e-commerce environment., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Copilot and ERP systems., • Manage a team of 6 – 9 direct and indirect reports Don’t meet all requirement? Compensation Jamieson Wellness offers a competitive total rewards package designed to support your well-being and professional growth. This includes base pay, eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program, and a comprehensive benefits offering. For this role, the posting range is $143,900.00 - $215,900.00, which reflects the full salary range of the position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, level of education, role scope, and other professional qualifications aligned with the requirements and complexity of this position.
