As a team member of the SPOA unit you would be processing applications for adults with mental illness seeking an array of services, including but not limited to: Assisted Outpatient Treatment, Case management and ACT services, SPA Mental Health Housing, and/or Crisis Respite housing. This requires thorough review of the application and supporting documentation; investigation of documents; case presentations; general knowledge regarding Health Homes and resources in the mental health system; general knowledge of mental health housing in Suffolk County; ensuring court-ordered Mental Health Services are in place and that the person under an AOT order is compliant with those services.
