Job Description We are looking for an experienced assistant general manager with solid leadership abilities who can grow with us. You will collaborate with our general manager/owner to plan and oversee the school's daily operations, and assume the GM responsibilities in their absence. This position is responsible for managing employees and ensuring our customers have a 5-star experience with our services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service while also maintaining the school's budget and quality standards. You must have 3 years of management experience in the retail industry, and a bachelor's degree in management is strongly preferred. Compensation: $50,000 yearly Responsibilities: • Work to obtain student-level growth, • Maintain a teaching and front desk staff to meet the schools needs, • Deal with customers directly to handle their needs within our policies, • Plan for events like Recitals, Concerts, Special Group Classes, • Make sure front desk staff are keeping up with book orders and other inventory items, • Make sure the front desk staff are cleaning as required, • Consult with General Manager/Owner on key items, • Previous experience managing a team is required; preferably in a hospitality role such as department manager, • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality, • You must have 3 or more years of experience working in the hospitality field, • This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor's degree with preference given to those with a hospitality management degree The Music Tree is a music school like no other.
