Position Summary: Durr CTS is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Human Resources Generalist. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: manager support, benefit administration, employee relations/investigations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance. This role partners closely with assigned managers across multiple U.S. locations: De Pere, WI, Southfield, MI (Durr CTS) and Stoughton, WI (Durr Universal), providing hands-on HR support and serving as a key connection between leadership and employees. The ideal candidate will be a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment and brings innovative sourcing strategies to life. Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned managers and departments, providing day-to-day guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and policy interpretation., • Act as a trusted advisor to people leaders, coaching managers on best practices related to employee engagement, corrective action, performance improvement, and leadership effectiveness., • Provide consistent HR support across multiple U.S. locations, with regular on-site presence in Southfield, MI and Stoughton, WI (approximately 40% travel), to build strong relationships, ensure compliance, and understand local business needs., • Regularly partner with managers to proactively identify HR needs and deliver appropriate tools, resources, and training to support their teams., • Lead and support employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action, ensuring fair and legally compliant outcomes., • Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies and procedures aligned with company and global standards., • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal standards across supported locations., • Provide ongoing administration and legal compliance for employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and all other benefits., • Prepare and deliver communications to employees and managers regarding HR programs, policy updates, organizational changes, and legally required disclosures., • Partner with HR leadership on key initiatives such as performance management, training and development, engagement initiatives, and change management efforts., • Interpret and clearly explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, and regulations to employees and managers., • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records related to hiring, terminations, leaves, transfers, and promotions using HRIS systems., • Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience., • Participate in audits, reporting, and compliance activities, maintaining working knowledge of EEO, affirmative action, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations., • Contribute to special HR projects and process improvements as assigned., • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred, • 7 years of HR generalist/benefits experience required, • Strong knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations., • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills., • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and/or management., • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or management., • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness., • Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism., • Works well independently yet is cooperative in working with team members.
