American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Portland, Oregon. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/02/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital, • Patient population includes trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and cases with substance abuse or complex histories, • Standard patient ratios are 1:3-4, • Procedures include moderate and deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C’s, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveries, • Shift options are 3x12-hour nights, starting at 1700-0530 or 1900-0730, • Weekend shifts are required, • Floating within the hospital required; no floating to other hospitals, • Charting is done using Epic, and recent Epic experience is required, • Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and coordination of ED care and consultations, • Work in a Magnet designated facility with a collaborative team environment, • Scrubs must be solid color with no prints; OR scrubs are provided, • Prestart modules must be completed before first shift, • Return staff must be away for at least 6 months prior to returning as a traveler, • Maximum of 1 week RTO allowed; all RTO must be declared up front, • Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers, • Mandatory compliance documentation must be completed 1 week prior to start; labs required within 48 hours of signing, • Parking is available at a daily rate\n \n Requirements\n, • Active OR RN license required or proof of application submitted to the state board, • Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required, • Recent Epic charting and trauma experience required, • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC preferred, • Must provide two supervisor references from within the last 24 months, or one within 24 months and one within 3-5 years if needed, • COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions, • Travelers must have previous travel experience if Epic experience was not recent, • No background or license issues accepted\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
