Job Description Position Summary: The primary function of the job is to direct/instruct field personnel on their project while also performing field work. Complete all necessary paperwork (submittals, reports) for projects under the direction of the Project Manager. Daily logs required to be kept electronically using construction specific software. Will be in charge of on-site safety. Conduct daily task meetings on site with field personnel. Oversee general clean-up of the sites. Job Duties: · Direct client questions to Project Manager/Construction Manager to ensure single point contact. · Responsible for all field drawings associated with job, once supplied · Responsible for assuring daily material, tools and equipment requirements are fulfilled prior to arriving on-site · Provide a schedule of work to be performed and personnel required to Project Manager/Construction Manager to aid scheduling of materials and sub-contractors-to be listed on Form 43-B Skills/Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers., • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures., • Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met, • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment., • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities., • Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs., • Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs., • Confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities., • Order or requisition materials or supplies., • Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans., • Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies. · High School diploma or equivalent • Three (3) years experience as commercial construction superintendent.
