SUMMARY: The Commercial Enablement Sr. Data Science Analyst – Power BI Developer & Data Engineer delivers scalable, actionable insights by transforming complex, multi-source data into executive-ready analytics. This hands-on role designs and maintains advanced Power BI dashboards and data models that drive growth, sales productivity, and profitability, integrating data from systems such as Palantir Foundry, Salesforce, and other operational data sources. The role applies data science, modeling techniques and statistical techniques to uncover patterns, surface insights and inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing transformations, optimizing data pipelines, and translating complex analyses into intuitive, compelling visual stories that drive action at the executive and field-sales level. This position is a critical contributor to elevating Alside’s commercial analytics and insights agenda, accelerating growth initiatives, improving operational effectiveness, and supporting value creation in a fast-paced, private-equity-backed environment. This role reports to the VP, Alside Commercial Enablement. The ideal candidate is: • Ambitious and competitive, with a strong internal drive to win and outperform, • Aggressive in execution, taking ownership and pushing work across the finish line, • Curious and intellectually sharp, eager to dive into complex data problems, • Comfortable with ambiguity, able to create structure where none exists, • Career-oriented, seeking a role that will serve as a defining chapter in their professional trajectory KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES: Execute commercial sales analytics priorities to deliver elevated growth and productivity insights for action, including but not limited to: • Build, enhance, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to drive commercial activity, giving leaders the ability to focus on the right opportunities or issues, • (Palantir) Foundry Data Integration and Application, • Enhance and optimize Foundry datasets, objects, and transformations to support scalable, high‑performance Power BI and Excel reporting for commercial applications, • Collaborate with data engineers to understand Foundry pipeline logic, schema changes, and upstream dependencies and integrate new data sources into PowerBI dashboards and Excel reports, • Salesforce.com Data Integration and Application: Automate and integrate salesforce.com and shipment data to enable development of a sales effectiveness analytics and insights dashboard, • Excel Data Analysis & Reporting:, • Design, develop, and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets and scorecards to track KPIs using advanced functions to clean, automate, and interpret large datasets., • Use statistical methods, modeling and data analysis to inform and support decision-making, • Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into clear technical requirements and intuitive visual designs to deliver reporting solutions that align with business priorities, • Leverage key internal and external data sources including but not limited to historical shipment, depletions, category, supplier, customer, consumer data, coupled with forward looking industry, marketplace, and consumer insights., • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and reliability, • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and model data from multiple enterprise systems for analytics and reporting use cases, • Develop and manage end-to-end data workflows, from raw data ingestion through curated datasets used in Power BI, Excel, and advanced analytics applications, • Partner with data engineers and platform teams to architect new pipelines, incorporate new data sources, and evolve existing data models as business needs change, • Enhance and optimize Palantir Foundry datasets, objects, transformations, and newly created pipelines to support scalable, high-performance reporting and analytics, • Ensure pipelines are reliable, monitored, and production-ready, including error handling, validation checks, and documentation, • Support advanced analytics and data science use cases by ensuring data structures enable statistical modeling, trend analysis, and forward-looking insights, • Optimize data models and pipelines for performance, scalability, and usability across Power BI and Excel consumers EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree, MBA is a plus, • 5+ years business experience in data science, analytics and/or reporting functions REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Strong experience developing 1) Power BI dashboards, datasets, and data models and 2) Excel Data Analysis & Reporting, • Hands‑on experience working with Foundry data products, ontology structures, and tools, • Experience working with large, complex datasets and optimizing dashboard performance, • Strong analytical and modeling skills About Us When you join Alside, you are part of a leading exterior building products distribution business serving residential and commercial remodeling and new construction markets.
