Job Description EVENT WAREHOUSE CREW INSTALLER Department: Warehouse Crew Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Location: DFW Metroplex and Nationwide — Travel to event venues required POSITION SUMMARY Fauxcades is looking for a hands-on, dependable Event Warehouse Crew Installer to join our Event Production team. This position is responsible for the physical installation, setup, modification, and strike of event environments, décor, rental products, walls, signage, and custom-built elements at venues throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and, when assigned, at locations outside of Texas. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with their hands, has basic tool experience, understands how things are assembled and built, and takes pride in producing a clean, professional finished product. Experience in event production, carpentry, scenic fabrication, construction, exhibit installation, theater production, trades, moving, or a similar hands-on environment is a plus. You do not need to know everything on day one. Candidates with limited professional experience may be considered if they demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn. WHAT YOU'LL DO Event Installation & Strike • Load, unload, carry, assemble, install, modify, and strike event equipment, décor, furniture, walls, structures, and custom fabrication., • Install event environments according to approved floor plans, renderings, pull sheets, and instructions from the Crew Lead., • Assemble freestanding walls, backdrops, platforms, bars, display structures, signage, and other event elements., • Assist with the installation of custom-fabricated pieces and scenic elements., • Safely use hand tools and basic power tools to complete installations and adjustments., • Make minor onsite adjustments and troubleshoot installation issues as directed., • Ensure finished installations are clean, level, secure, properly positioned, and presentation-ready., • Carefully dismantle event environments during strike and return all equipment and materials for proper handling. Custom Fabrication Support • Assist the fabrication team with the assembly and installation of custom-built event elements., • Understand or develop basic construction knowledge, including framing, fastening, measuring, leveling, securing, and assembling components., • Assist with building and installing walls, frames, platforms, displays, and other custom structures., • Learn Fauxcades' construction and fabrication methods, materials, tools, and installation standards., • Follow instructions, measurements, drawings, renderings, and build specifications accurately., • Communicate when something does not appear to fit, align, or match the approved design rather than attempting an unsafe or unauthorized modification. Tools & Equipment • Properly use common hand tools and basic power tools., • Maintain and care for tools and equipment used during production., • Follow all safety procedures when operating tools, lifting equipment, ladders, and other production equipment., • Report damaged, missing, or unsafe tools and equipment immediately., • Learn new tools, equipment, construction techniques, materials, and installation methods as needed. Event Production • Review the pull sheet and understand the products and materials required for the event., • Work efficiently as part of a production crew while maintaining quality standards., • Communicate with Crew Leads, Production Managers, Coordinators, and other team members throughout installation and strike., • Help maintain an organized and safe work area at the warehouse and event venue., • Protect Fauxcades' inventory, custom fabrication, client property, and venue property during installation and strike., • Assist with inventory accountability during load-in, installation, strike, and return., • Report missing, damaged, broken, or improperly installed items immediately., • Represent Fauxcades professionally while working at client and venue locations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must Have • Reliable transportation to and from the Fauxcades warehouse, event venues, and assigned work locations., • Basic understanding of hand tools and/or power tools., • Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended event days when scheduled., • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and move event equipment and materials., • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods., • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor event environments., • Strong attention to detail., • Dependable attendance and punctuality., • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team., • Professional attitude and appearance., • Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, materials, and installation processes. This is not a truck-driving position. Employees are responsible for having reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations. A valid government-issued identification is required. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED Experience in any of the following is a plus: • Event production or event installation, • Carpentry or construction, • Scenic fabrication, • Exhibit or trade show installation, • Theater/stage production, • Set building, • Millwork, • Furniture assembly, • Sign installation, • General labor or skilled trades, • Warehouse production, • Home improvement or remodeling, • Hands-on fabrication, • Moving company or moving/installation experience No formal construction or event experience? That's okay. We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates mechanical ability, reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is a physically active, hands-on production position. The Event Warehouse Crew Installer must be able to: • Lift and carry event equipment and materials, including items that may be heavy or oversized., • Repeatedly bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, and stand for extended periods., • Work from ladders and elevated work areas when properly trained and authorized., • Work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions when required., • Safely maneuver equipment through loading docks, elevators, hallways, ballrooms, outdoor spaces, and event venues., • Work extended shifts when required by the event schedule. RELIABILITY & SCHEDULING Event production schedules are driven by client events and venue requirements. Employees must be available to work assigned shifts and event-related schedules. Scheduled means scheduled. Employees are expected to arrive on time, prepared to work, and ready to perform the responsibilities assigned for that shift. Because events may require installations and strikes outside traditional business hours, this position may include: • Early morning call times, • Evening installations, • Late-night strikes, • Weekend work, • Holiday work, • Travel outside the DFW area when assigned Employees should communicate scheduling conflicts as early as possible through the appropriate Fauxcades process. SAFETY & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS All Event Warehouse Crew Installers are expected to follow Fauxcades safety procedures and production standards at all times. This includes: • Proper use of tools and equipment, • Safe lifting and material handling, • Proper ladder and elevated-work practices, • Maintaining clear work areas, • Following venue safety requirements, • Protecting venue and client property, • Reporting hazards, injuries, damage, or unsafe conditions immediately, • Following all Fauxcades workplace policies Safety takes priority over speed. Employees are expected to stop and ask for assistance when a task cannot be completed safely.
