Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports a high-volume, continuous-run manufacturing facility by troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, adjusting, replacing, and installing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical systems and components on plant equipment. This role focuses primarily on mechanical maintenance with some electrical work, and includes light welding, machining, and fabrication to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical issues on plant equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment., • Perform approximately 90% mechanical maintenance and 10% electrical maintenance on production machinery and support systems., • Install, adjust, and replace mechanical components such as gearboxes, motors, roller conveyors, and related equipment., • Carry out preventive maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life., • Perform light welding and machining work as needed to fabricate or repair equipment and parts, including MIG and stick welding where applicable., • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and equipment prints, diagrams, and manuals to guide troubleshooting and repair work., • Clean, inspect, and prepare parts and components during maintenance and repair tasks., • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repairing cylinders, valves, hoses, and associated components., • Support conveyor maintenance, including inspection, repair, and replacement of rollers, belts, drives, and other conveyor elements., • Use electrical skills to work safely with 3-phase, 480V systems, including basic troubleshooting and repair of electrical components., • For higher-level electrical work, read and interpret electrical schematics and assist with PLC-related troubleshooting as needed., • Document maintenance activities accurately and communicate equipment status and issues to the team and leadership., • Collaborate closely with other maintenance team members to prioritize work, share knowledge, and ensure smooth plant operations., • Work scheduled shifts and be available for rotating Saturday and seasonal overtime coverage, particularly during peak periods around holidays., • At least 5+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment., • Proven experience performing mechanical repairs on industrial equipment such as roller conveyors and related machinery., • Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair., • Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including gearboxes and motor replacement., • Ability to work with electrical systems, including 3-phase, 480V power, in a safe and competent manner., • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical systems., • Ability to read and interpret technical prints, schematics, and equipment manuals., • Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment., • Capability to perform light welding and machining work for equipment and parts fabrication., • Experience with conveyor maintenance in an industrial setting., • Ability to work rotating Saturdays and additional hours during busy seasons., • Experience with corrugated machinery or prior work in a box plant is a strong plus., • Familiarity with PLCs and the ability to read electrical schematics for higher-level electrical troubleshooting is highly desirable., • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) is beneficial., • MIG and stick welding experience is a plus., • Experienced in corrugated or conveyor maintenance environments is advantageous., • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with a close-knit maintenance team. Work Environment This role is based in a heavy industrial box plant with high-volume, continuous-run production. You will work with a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including roller conveyors, corrugated equipment, motors, gearboxes, and 3-phase 480V power. The maintenance team operates on second and third shifts with rotating Saturday coverage. Typical schedules include second shift Monday–Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a paid 30-minute lunch and every other Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and third shift Monday–Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. with a paid 30-minute lunch and every other Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Additional hours may be required around holidays and during busy seasons. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheat Ridge, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
