Provides direct patient care and dental services as trained and assigned. Assesses dental condition and needs of patient using approved patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and periodontal charting., 2. Assists the Dentist/Hygienist chair side by organizing and preparing instruments for use., 3. Assists the Dentist/Hygienist chair side throughout the dental procedure(s) as necessary., 4. Completes all necessary radiographs and oral camera pictures each appointment., 5. Documents dental/medical history, chief complaint, and all necessary diagnostic data in the patient chart., 6. Documents referrals to specialists and helps ensure follow up on results., 7. Assists with or initiates emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients., 8. Responsible for making impressions for bleaching trays, study models, etc. when requested., 9. Performs Blood Pressure Monitoring at each appointment., 10. Seeking a psychiatrist to join an existing group for the expansion of a new inpatient facility. The state-of-the-art facility will have an eight-bed adolescent unit, 24 bed adult unit and 12 bed geropsychiatry unit. The group provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to include both adult, child and adolescent services, a robust consultation liaison service for the hospital, a MAT program and medical education. The Department is involved in teaching family practice residents, medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and social work interns. A psychiatric residency program will be initiated once the hospital is built. An ECT program will be added. The psychiatrist will be evaluating and treating a general adult population. Anticipated patient load would be 18-20 patients per day. Weekday call is currently being handled. Weekend call will be estimated to be 1:8. This will involve rounding on the inpatient units and seeing psychiatry consults in the Medical Center. Suboxone certification is preferred but not required. Job Description • Maintains strict adherence to state and federal practice guidelines; maintains qualifications from FTCA credentialing, • Directly affect improvements in patient well-being through accurate and timely diagnosis and delivery of high quality dental treatment, • Ensure the delivery of competent, accurate, dental care and treatment to all patients as assigned, • Functions to full extent of licensure as dentist; assessing, diagnosing, treating educating referring patients, • Ensure the delivery of all dental treatment and care is consistent with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards, including clinic policies and quality initiatives, • Understand and ensure all practices and procedures related to the delivery of dental services are consistent with contracted protocols and procedures, • Successfully builds panel of patients by accepting new patients, inactive patients, and patients with special needs, • May be required to perform hygiene services to meet patient demand, • Participate in staff and professional conferences; keeps adequate CME to maintain licensure and clinical competency, • Consult on and assist in development of clinical in-service training relative to the care of the patient population, • Trains, mentors, and supervises students and clinical support staff as needed, • Develop and ensure ongoing, positive relationships and collaboration with other dentists and dental staff members.
