Job Summary: The Accountant will play a key role in managing the full-cycle accounting process, month-end close, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and handling multi-entity consolidations. This position requires expertise in account reconciliations, AR, AP, and financial statement preparation. Key Responsibilities: • Recording Financial Transactions: Bookkeepers meticulously record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, sales, and payments., • Preparing Financial Reports: They generate various financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements., • Reconciling Accounts: Bookkeepers reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy., • Assisting with Tax Preparation: They may assist with tax payments, returns, and compliance with relevant tax laws., • Maintaining Financial Records: Bookkeepers organize and maintain the business's financial records, ensuring their accuracy and accessibility., • Data Entry and Management: They perform data entry tasks, update spreadsheets, and manage financial data within accounting software., • Payroll Processing: In some cases, bookkeepers are responsible for processing payroll and related tasks., • Working with Accountants: Bookkeepers may collaborate with accountants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial analysis., • Basic Administrative Tasks: Bookkeepers may also handle basic administrative tasks within the accounting department. Qualifications: * • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field., • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment., • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements., • Experience managing full-cycle close, reconciliations, AR, and AP., • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills., • Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer goods industries is a plus., • Exposure to international accounting and foreign currency transactions is a plus., • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines., • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
