Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector Quality Inspector – Medical Device Balloon Forming (2nd Shift) Location: Chattanooga, TN Pay: $19.25/hr Shift: 2nd Shift (full‑time) Position Overview This role supports medical‑grade balloon forming operations by performing visual inspection, data entry, and documentation to ensure every product meets strict quality standards. You’ll work in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment and contribute directly to the production of life‑saving medical devices. Key Responsibilities • Visual inspection of medical balloon components for defects, measurements, and surface quality, • Data entry and documentation of inspection results in digital systems, • Quality documentation following medical device compliance requirements, • Use calipers and basic measurement tools (training provided over time), • Support production teams with accurate, timely quality checks, • Maintain clean, organized work areas in accordance with medical device standardsRequired Experience, • Prior visual inspection experience in manufacturing, quality, or similar environments, • Comfortable with data entry and basic computer use, • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures, • Willingness to learn caliper measurement (trainable over time) Essential Skills • High school diploma or equivalent., • Ability to read and follow written instructions, work instructions, and process documentation accurately., • Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and adjusting manufacturing and machine operation equipment., • Strong attention to detail to identify defects, follow procedures, and complete documentation accurately., • Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom manufacturing environment with regulated GMP practices., • Capability to perform repetitive, precision-oriented tasks while maintaining focus and quality., • Ability to perform general production and assembly line tasks, including medical assembly and inspection., • Comfort with documentation, data entry, and maintaining accurate production and traceability records. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in medical device manufacturing or other cleanroom manufacturing environments., • Familiarity with inspection tools such as microscopes, gauges, or similar measuring devices., • Exposure to manufacturing equipment, process-driven environments, and general production operations., • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards in a regulated environment., • Experience with assembly, inspection, and machine operation in a production setting. Proper cleanroom attire is required, including hair and beard nets, to maintain product cleanliness and regulatory compliance. The environment is production-focused, with assembly, inspection, and machine operation activities supporting daily production targets. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
