Your Impact: The Telecom Commercial Premise Technician - Level IV plays a critical role in performing site surveys, installation, integration, and testing of Customer Premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision. This position ensures the highest standards of installation and system integrity are maintained. Responsibilities: • Master and execute installation and testing per Telco Standards, ensuring precision and accuracy., • Perform comprehensive equipment installation, system testing, and integration across various fiber systems., • Handle transport equipment, including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, and Juniper, with expertise., • Read and interpret Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, equipment, and wiring documentation accurately., • Maintain accurate documentation as per company/customer requirements., • Interface with customers, vendors, and colleagues to ensure successful equipment testing and integration., • Review and ensure accuracy in subordinate's time and expense documentation., • Resolve project-related issues using defined processes and perform quality audits to meet industry standards., • Generate and understand MOPs, high-risk activity reports, work schedules, and project completion reports., • Perform independent work operations, including equipment installation, cable routing, and technical space management., • Minimum of 5+ years of installation experience or equivalent combination of experience and training. Leadership experience required; Verizon Commercial Premise Installation experience is a plus., • High school diploma and at least two years of technical school or equivalent telecommunications field installation experience., • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with instructions in various forms., • Proficient in laptop computer skills and MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Valid driver's license with ability to pass pre-employment background checks. Must be insurable., • Ability to comply with OSHA Standards and safety requirements., • Willingness to travel with overnight stays as required; expenses are covered by the employer., • Physical capability to lift 50 lbs., stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces.
