Job DescriptionDescription: POSITION SUMMARY The Crew Leader directs all tower technicians on the job site and ensures the timeliness, quality, and safety of the project. Crew Leaders must have 2-3 years of tower technician experience and the ability to manage crews. Responsibilities and Duties: As a Crew Leader the duties include, but are not limited to the following: • Plan, delegate tasks, direct and supervise entire crew (leadership and management skills), • Conduct pre-project meetings and complete all required paperwork, • Assess safety hazards and ensure all work is performed following all safety rules and regulations, • Effectively train and mentor crew members, • Direct successful completion of all scope of work assigned according to construction requirements and quality standards, and within the time frame allotted, • Provide troubleshooting and support for integration tasks, • Perform administrative tasks including timesheet submittals, daily reports, expense reports, materials list, etc., • Perform punch-walks and submit close out package information, • Take responsibility and care for all company equipment, vehicles, and tools, • Investigate and report all accidents/incidents to management and safety department; suggest and implement corrective actions, • Experience with all major carriers (TMOBILE, Verizon, AT&T), • OSHA 30 (Best to Have), • NWSA TT1, TT2, Foreman (Preferred), • Comtrain and Rigging, • Knowledge and experience using test Equipment, ODM, PIM, Anritsu, OTDR, • Microsoft Office or Google Suite Experience, • Ability to work with advanced hand/power tools, testing equipment, alignment tools, • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude, • Ability to lead the crew to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices, • Ability to read SA and other paperwork, • Must have necessary work tools for Crew Leader position, • Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4-6 weeks at a time, • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record or CDL, • $30-$35/hour plus per diem, • Excellent health care benefits including medical, dental, vision and FSA plus additional supplemental offerings, • Must be able to climb and work on the towers, poles, buildings (no fear of heights), • Must be able to lift and carry at least 70 pounds, • Must be able to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully, • Must be able to work in inclement weather (snow, rain, heat, high winds, etc.), long hours and variety of shifts (including night work), • Must be able to pass ongoing drug screen testing
