Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage dam repair and dam removal projects from planning through design, permitting, and construction support, • Develop project scopes, fees, schedules, and budgets; oversee contracts and project delivery, • Prepare and review engineering analyses, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates, • Coordinate and support local, state, and federal permitting and grant applications, • Apply hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support design and regulatory submissions, • Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal multidisciplinary teams across New England, • Support business development efforts, including funding strategy development and proposals, • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline, • Professional Engineer (PE) license, • 10+ years of experience in water resources and dam engineering, • Strong knowledge of dam safety regulations, codes, and industry standards, • Experience leading dam repair and removal design efforts, • Proven ability to prepare high-quality technical reports and permit applications, • Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, • Working knowledge of CAD-based design tools, • Strong project management, communication, and mentoring skills, • Ability to travel up to 10–15% throughout New England This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. Job Description Position: Safety Valve Technician Location: Westfield, MA Compensation: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience, knowledge, and certifications) Millennium Power Services is seeking an experienced Safety Valve Technician to join our growing team in Westfield, MA. This role is specifically focused on the inspection, testing, repair, and certification of industrial safety relief valves. This position requires frequent travel (approximately 50–70%), and candidates must be able to travel on short notice to meet customer and outage schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with major safety valve manufacturers and be comfortable working both in-shop and in-field environments. Key Responsibilities: Safety Valve Inspection & Repair • Disassemble, inspect, diagnose, repair, and reassemble safety relief valves., • Perform set pressure adjustments and seat lapping., • Conduct in-shop and field service work during plant outages and emergency callouts., • Service and repair safety valves from:, • Farris Engineering, • Crosby, • Consolidated, • Follow OEM specifications and documentation requirements., • Operate and maintain valve testing equipment., • Must have working knowledge of:, • AVK lifting equipment and/or, • EVT lifting and testing equipment, • Perform pressure testing and document results accurately., • Travel 50–70% of the time to customer sites., • Must be able to mobilize on short notice., • Maintain detailed service reports and repair documentation., • Adhere strictly to company safety policies and industry regulations., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Proven experience specifically as a Safety Valve Technician., • Hands-on experience with Farris, Crosby, and Consolidated safety valves., • Experience operating AVK and/or EVT lifting and testing equipment., • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturer specifications., • Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team., • Must be willing and able to travel frequently, including short-notice travel., • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment., • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights., • Relocation package is available (if applicable)., • Pay rate is based on experience, knowledge, and ability., • Weekend and overtime hours paid at elevated rates., • Health, medical, and dental benefits., • Short- and long-term disability plans., • Life insurance policy and 401K plan., • Paid time off and paid holidays., • Company uniforms provided.
