Peoria is a vibrant Illinois city known for its riverfront, cultural attractions, and welcoming community—making it a prime location for travel nursing jobs.\n \n\n\n • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,310 - $2,470\n\n\nCVICU RN Job Details – Illinois Healthcare Jobs\n\n, • Location: Peoria, Illinois (61637)\n, • Facility Setting: Acute Cardiac Intermediate Unit (CVICU)\n, • Job Type: Travel Nursing Assignment\n, • Start Date: December 8, 2025\n, • End Date: March 9, 2026\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n, • Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), 3 shifts/week, rotating weekends and holidays\n, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week\n, • Unit Size: 20 private, monitored beds\n, • Charting System: EPIC\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Illinois RN license or proof of application\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or Cardiac ICU nursing experience\n, • BLS certification (AHA required)\n, • ACLS preferred; CCRN or PCCN certification a plus\n, • Skilled in titrating cardiac drips and interpreting cardiac strips\n, • Ability to float to ICU and stepdown units\n, • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills\n, • Experience working in fast-paced, high-stress healthcare environments\n, • Negative drug screen required\n\n\nCVICU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver direct patient care to cardiac stepdown and ICU patients with complex cardiovascular conditions\n, • Manage and titrate multiple cardiac drips (dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, cleviprex, propofol, fentanyl, versed, insulin, heparin, esmolol, etc.)\n, • Monitor and interpret cardiac strips using Philips monitoring systems\n, • Operate and manage specialty equipment (Swan Ganz, external pacemakers, PICC, midlines, CVC, arterial lines, ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen)\n, • Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members\n, • Float to other units and manage full patient assignments as needed\n, • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #430465.
