Discover rewarding healthcare jobs in Illinois while enjoying Peoria's vibrant riverfront, scenic parks, and welcoming community.\n \n\nICU Registered Nurse Job Details\n\n • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250\n, • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)\n, • Healthcare Setting: Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU)\n, • Nursing Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts per week\n, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n, • Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays\n, • Charting System: EPIC\n, • Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or proof of application in process\n, • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro ICU experience preferred)\n, • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)\n, • Proficient in ventriculostomy, NIH Stroke Scale Certification, ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, tPA administration, acute stroke care, and post-craniectomy care\n, • Skilled in titrating drips and managing critical care infusions\n, • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips (Phillips monitors)\n, • Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus)\n\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill neurological patients\n, • Monitor and manage patients with acute strokes (with/without tPA), cranial surgeries, and ventriculostomies\n, • Perform advanced ICU procedures, including ventilator management, arterial and central line care, and titration of critical drips\n, • Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to changes in patient status\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and patient care technicians\n, • Float to other hospital units as needed, including intermediate and general care floors\n, • Participate in unit orientation (20 hours) and ongoing clinical training\n Planet Healthcare Job ID #439579.
