Job DescriptionDescription: Title: Wafer Driver Floater Category: H5 Fleet Services (Logistics) Work-site Location: Dallas, TX Schedule: Sunday - Thursday Shift: Sunday–Thursday between 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. to provide coverage during PTO or staffing shortages. When float coverage is not required, the standard schedule will follow one of the following shifts: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Job Classification: Full-time Hourly Employee Base Compensation: $17.00 / hour Overtime: Paid at Time and a Half Benefits: Full-Time Benefits package and more Reports To: Fleet Operations Supervisor Background: Criminal Background, Drug and Motor Vehicle Records Check Summary/Objective In this professional Wafer Driver position, you will be responsible for the handling, movement and timely delivery of wafers between customer locations in support of large-scale, semi-conductor supply chain operations. The work location is a large, secure corporate campus and will require both driving and an extensive amount of walking to various locations both on-site and off-site for our large corporate customer. This position requires that the person be physically fit and have a cursory knowledge of the freight shipping business. Punctuality and dependability are essential to successfully performing in this position. Essential Functions In this position, you will work closely with customers, other drivers, vendor employees and other staff related to Fab Services all while performing a variety of tasks. • Drivers must check in with lead at designated parking lot site and obtain instructions for the day such as left over orders on truck, vehicle updates, route updates, daily safety topics, etc., • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck to ensure that it is safe and in reliable operating condition., • Report maintenance issues to lead or supervisor to ensure prompt repairs to equipment to maintain safe and reliable operation condition., • Check vehicle cargo box for wafers left on truck from shift change., • Immediate pick-up of orders, wafer cart loading, securing of wafers with safety band and interlock system and unloading of wafers into designated racks. Must unload at specifically designated customer site., • Drivers are required to inspect wafers before on-boarding note any damage and make necessary notifications., • The driver is required to adhere to all City and State laws, as well as Company and Customer safety requirements., • Participate in Annual Wafer Handling Exam, • Always review and acknowledge Safety Updates on handheld units once received, • Must maintain individual On Time Performance Goal of 90% or higher, • Solving and preventing problems, • Analytical thinking, • Strategic thinking, • Self-management, • Personal credibility, • Flexibility, • Stress management, • thoroughness, • Leading others, • Foster teamwork, • Managing change, • Communication, • Interpersonal effectiveness This position has no supervisor responsibilities, but you may serve as a role model, coach and mentor for other employees and positions in the company. Work Environment This job operates in a warehouse environment and also spends significant amount of time outside walking and performing physical activities. This role routinely will be in the presence of loud noises, bright lights and be subject to temperatures sometimes equal to current weather conditions. In this role you will also use the following types of equipment, machinery and or software in the performance of your duties: • Small bob-tail delivery vehicle, • Custom designed delivery carts The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to • Speak and hear clearly, • Lift above shoulders, • Bend and twist at the waist, • Climb in and out of truck cabin, • Pushing and pulling of cart weighing an estimated 60 LBS to 300 LBS, • Sit while driving 5 Miles (on campus) to 50 Miles (off campus), • Squatting and bending at the knees is expected throughout the workday, • Stand for extended period of time as needed to complete daily tasks, • Walking an average of 5 miles per day or more to complete daily tasks Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Schedule is as follows: This Floater position includes two consecutive days off: Friday and Saturday. The candidate must be available to work Sunday–Thursday between 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. to provide coverage during PTO or staffing shortages. When float coverage is not required, the standard schedule will follow one of the following shifts: • 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Occasional schedule changes may be required as job duties demand. Travel 0% of travel is expected for this position. Requirements: Required Education and Experience • Current Class C Texas Operators License, • Must have 1 years verifiable driving history, • Must pass driving skills assessment (field test with vehicle), • Must have a current and valid DOT Medical Card OR obtain before start date Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English, • Must have basic math skills and competency, • Must have basic computer use knowledge and skills, • Must have access to a valid email address, • Willing to submit to a criminal background check, • Willing to submit to a drug test, • Willing to submit to a Motor Vehicle Records Check, • Must maintain a clean driving record during entire period of employment and be insurable
