Are you an experienced MEP professional with a strong track record managing specialist design packages and driving delivery across complex construction projects?\n\nDo you thrive in fast-paced project environments where programme management, coordination, and stakeholder management are critical to success?\n\nSalary: £65,000 to £70,000 plus car allowance\n Location: Birmingham, office/site based 3 days per week minimum, remainder from home.\n\nMy client is seeking an experienced CDP Manager to support the delivery of MEP packages on a major railway station in Birmingham.\n\nThis role will focus on driving the programme, coordination, and delivery of specialist systems packages including Telecoms & Security, Fire Detection, Fire Protection, BEMS, and Lighting Control. The successful candidate will manage specialist subcontractors and design partners, ensuring deliverables are achieved in line with programme requirements, contractual obligations, and project milestones.\n\nThis is not a technical role. Instead, the position requires a strong project delivery mindset with the ability to coordinate interfaces, manage information flow, and drive accountability across multiple stakeholders and specialist subcontractors.\n\nThe business is looking for someone who can take ownership, maintain momentum, and proactively manage programme, coordination, and delivery challenges across a live and complex project environment.\n\nEssential Requirements:\n\nStrong understanding of MEP systems including Telecoms, Security, Fire Detection, Fire Protection, or BEMS\nPrevious experience on rail, station, or major infrastructure projects\nExperience managing Contractor Design Portion (CDP) packages\nGood understanding of NEC contracts\nExperience managing programme delivery, interfaces, and specialist subcontractors\nStrong stakeholder management and coordination skills\nCommercial awareness with experience supporting cost control and change management\nAbility to manage installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities\nExcellent communication and organisational skills\nAbility to drive programme and hold delivery teams accountable to key milestones\nDesired Requirements:\n\nExperience managing multidisciplinary interfaces across large-scale schemes\nPrevious experience within target cost (NEC Option C) project environments\nUnderstanding of Early Warnings and Compensation Events under NEC contracts\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a major infrastructure project at a key delivery stage, with works due to ramp up over the coming weeks.
