Role: Assistant Site Manager Location: Site-based in Leeds and surrounding area Hours: 39.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday The Opportunity At Strata, we build more than just houses; we build homes. As the Assistant Site Manager, you will play a fundamental part in the delivery of our customers dream homes. You will assist the Site Manager, ensuring every little detail is taken care of so that our homes are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. You will be responsible for achieving build programmes in a controlled way with a high focus on Health and Safety, Quality of Build, Service and Commercial Awareness. You will have an eye for quality and attention to detail and be a natural at building great relationships with colleagues, contractors and customers making sure our new homeowners are nothing less than delighted. Responsibilities of the role • Assist in coordinating trades, materials, and equipment on site to ensure smooth daily operations., • Support the delivery of homes on time, within budget, and to a high standard., • Monitor progress against the build programme and report any issues to the Site Manager., • Promote and enforce health and safety standards, including conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and statutory inspections., • Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and site safety procedures., • Review work against drawings and specifications to maintain quality standards., • Identify and report defects, and support snagging and handover processes., • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist contractors to ensure work is completed to specification., • Supervise and support site operatives, assisting with resolving on-site queries and minor disputes., • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, delivery notes, and inspection logs., • Assist with site audits, inspections, and preparation of reports for senior management., • Carry out risk assessments and prepare or review method statements., • Chair and participate in contractor meetings to ensure alignment and progress., • Support the management of planning conditions and procurement processes., • Ensure the site and sales areas are presented to a high standard at all times., • Engage with customers during site visits or handovers, supporting a positive customer experience., • Contribute to achieving KPIs set by the company., • Provide input on project planning and scheduling of works., • Undertake quality management tasks to ensure compliance with company standards., • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to guidelines and timelines., • Offer advice on project management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives., • Ensure all duties are carried out in line with company processes and procedures.
