\n \n\n • Adequate numeracy and literacy skills needed for this post and be able to show they have been trained in: *\n, • Administration practices\n, • Customer care/front line service\n, • Relevant IT skills and knowledge of software packages *\n, • Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience*\n, • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.*\n, • To have the ability to acquire the necessary standard of computer skills using word, spreadsheets and databases.*\n, • Ability to work within a team and work on your own initiative when required.*\n, • An understanding of and a personal commitment to the Vision and Values of Liverpool City Council\n, • To have knowledge and an ability to demonstrate an understanding of the LEAs policies on Equal Opportunities.\n, • \n\n MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Business Support Officer \n\n • To maintain appropriate, up to date and accurate records on relevant systems\n, • To perform duties related to the processing of information, progress chasing of documentation and recording\n, • To provide a flexible service including dealing with visitors to site, scanning, photocopying, filing, post, and other resource tasks as designated.\n, • To maintain adequate stocks of stationary and keep storage/filing areas tidy\n, • Coordinate committee reports and provide appropriate guidance to senior managers.\n, • To collate and distribute item reports within agreed timescales and assist with the Quality Assurance of item reports as appropriate.\n, • To arrange, attend and minute/record meetings and forums across Community Services.\n, • To ensure that minutes and decisions are distributed to authorised recipients within agreed timescales and in accordance with appropriate data protection guidelines.\n, • To offer guidance on procedural issues and timescales and progress actions/panel decisions as required.\n, • To ensure recommendations are shared and recorded on appropriate ICT systems within agreed timescales.\n, • To provide day to day systems administrative support for service critical ICT systems including M3, Flare, Civica, LALPAC, ChildView, Leisure MIS- Legend, Liquid Logic (list not exhaustive). Duties to include new user requests, training of new and existing users, ensuring system integrity, generating statutory returns.\n, • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to information governance requirements when dealing with information.\n, • Co-ordinate the introduction of any new technology, systems, methods, or procedures ensuring that they are efficiently incorporated in to working practices.\n, • To provide support to officers on the delivery of Community Services systems.\n, • To act as the Assistant Directors PA and also provide cover for the Directors PA as necessary during periods of absence.\n, • Use initiative in relation to managing your own workload and judgement to resolve and deal with problematic situations.\n\n
