We are looking to recruit a full-time Maintenance Engineer to join the Estates and Facilities team on a permanent contract. We are keen to recruit a Maintenance Engineer with either an electrical focus or one with a mechanical focus depending on experience and expertise. As such you will be responsible for providing electrical or mechanical planned and preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance (RM) on all plant systems and services. You will also be responsible for operating the computer-controlled Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor and identify fault diagnostics, taking the appropriate action to resolve these. You will oversee the operation of the steam boilers and systems; steam is used extensively throughout our sites and training will be given as required. The LMB buildings, on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and Babraham Research Campus, are required to be maintained and kept fully operational 24/7, to meet the scientific requirements.
