Support Team Officer (Property Maintenance) \n Starting salary - £25,878 - £28,961 - Dependent on Experience \n Full Time| Perm \n \n Purpose of the Job \n This role provides a comprehensive administrative service that supports the delivery of excellent customer service within the Property Maintenance team. By keeping records accurate, coordinating customers and contractors, and supporting quality assurance and procurement, you help us deliver Quality Homes and Trusted Customer Services across our communities. Your organisation and attention to detail help maintain important operational capability and keep the service running well for the customers who rely on it. \n \n What will I do? \n Administrative Support and Coordination \n • Provide a comprehensive administrative service to support the delivery of excellent customer service across the Property Maintenance team. \n • Maintain accurate IT records of activities and produce reports drawn from managers, colleagues, files and IT systems. \n • Manage correspondence, including emails and workflow systems delegated by colleagues and managers. \n • Support the creation of works orders and the management of variations. \n • Continue operational reporting and workforce visibility, giving managers and Team Leaders a clear picture of activity. \n • Administer the secure and orderly storage of regulatory certificates. \n • Administer the Trades incentive scheme, where appropriate, applying the rules consistently and handling related queries or challenges from Trades colleagues. \n Quality Assurance and Compliance \n • Maintain desktop quality assurance and assurance support activities across the team's processes. \n • Provide support to Team Leaders undertaking on-site QA inspections. \n • Use Curo's Quality Assurance measures to support consistent delivery of team processes. Procurement and Financial Administration \n • Administer the effective procurement of goods and services in line with Curo's procurement strategies, supporting value for money and high levels of service delivery. \n • Reconcile invoices for payment approval and administer purchase order systems. \n • Provide information as required to support financial and performance monitoring. \n Contractor and Customer Coordination \n • Record and coordinate customer engagement for projects, capturing customer responses to inform and improve the customer experience and future service delivery. \n • Respond promptly and effectively to customer enquiries, making sure people receive timely assistance and updates. \n • Liaise with, and issue instructions to, contractors ensuring they adhere to contract conditions as directed by, or in the absence of, the relevant contract manager or surveyor. \n • Support with customer accident reporting. \n Customer Complaints \n • Take ownership of monitoring and progressing repairs and other actions associated with complaint resolution, ensuring they are tracked through to completion. \n • Proactively liaise with internal teams and contractors to monitor progress, challenge delays where appropriate, and ensure works progress within agreed timescales. \n • Maintain regular communication with customers, providing timely updates on progress and managing expectations throughout the resolution process. \n • Identify and manage risks that may impact delivery, escalating concerns promptly to the Repairs Team Leader or other appropriate managers. \n • Help ensure issues are addressed and complaint resolutions are not unnecessarily delayed. \n • Keep clear and accurate notes and records of the progression and tracking of agreed resolutions. \n Teamwork and Collaboration \n • Work closely with managers, Team Leaders and colleagues, building strong working relationships while keeping customer needs at the centre. \n • Contribute to team and corporate objectives, sharing information and supporting colleagues to deliver a high-quality service. \n What do I need to be successful? \n Essential – Experience and Qualifications \n • Experience of providing administrative services within an organisation that handles large volumes of varied transactions and a complex customer base. \n • Experience of writing reports derived from complex data in large volumes. Project Ecologist – Species Recovery Contract type: Fixed term, until the end of March 2029 Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Salary: £30,000 per annum Salary Banding: Level 3 Location: Based at our Callow Office, Shipham Gorge BS27 this role covers the Somerset Levels and will be a hybrid role working from the office, home and out in the field. This exciting new role is a part of the Natural England Species Recovery Programme. The “Wild Again: Restoring England’s Wildlife” initiative aims to enhance threatened species populations across the UK. Somerset Wildlife Trust are excited to lead the Bolstering the Somerset Bittern (Botaurus stellaris) population project. About Us Somerset Wildlife Trust is a local independent charity and the only organisation uniquely focused on improving the natural environment of Somerset for the benefit of wildlife and people. We champion Somerset’s stunning, diverse, and important natural environment, making the case for nature to the public and politicians. We protect wildlife and lead the recovery of the environment by example, including on our nature reserves. About You and the Role The Project Ecologist will be responsible for delivering habitat and bittern species surveys across the Somerset Levels and Moors project area. This will include assessing a range of reedbed and wetland mosaic types to assess suitability for bittern, as well as engaging and advising landowners on habitat enhancement. Supported by Somerset Wildlife Trust staff, landowner engagement will involve the identification of improvement works funded by the project. The survey work will be completed with the support of a new, dedicated volunteer group led by the Species Recovery Project Ecologist. Responsibility 1: Lead Ecological Surveys Ensure correct data reporting by: Leading bittern, reedbed, and wetland mosaic habitat surveys across the project area (Somerset Levels and Moors). This work includes surveying on private land, as well as National Nature Reserves owned by SWT, RSPB, and Natural England. Keeping up to date with SWT data handling & reporting standards, particularly in close collaboration with Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC). Working closely with the Project Manager for the BSB project, sharing specialist species knowledge, reporting project progress, being involved in project meetings, and recording volunteer hours. Responsibility 2: Enhance Habitat Conditions Improve reedbed and wetland mosaic sites by: Identifying key sites for restoration and/or enhancement, supported by specialist habitat knowledge and SERC. Collaborating with SWT’s Honeygar Land Management and Monitoring Manager to engage local landowners and organisations around the Avalon Marshes area with the aim of habitat restoration and/or enhancement for bittern recovery. Advising landowners across the Somerset Levels project area on habitat enhancement and restoration, identifying and allocating use of project funding to support work on private land. Ensure best communication practices that are in line with SWT standards. Responsibility 3: Manage Volunteers Provide leadership and support by: Providing leadership and mentoring to volunteers so that they can conduct species and habitat surveys without direct supervision. Working with SWT’s Volunteering & Community Support Officer to ensure best practice when engaging and recruiting volunteers, including following SWT safety procedures and capturing issues raised by volunteers.
