Finance Manager Location: Loughton Salary: £60-70k Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking a driven and hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the core finance function within a growing business. This is a broad and varied role combining team leadership with active involvement in financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance. You will play a key role in shaping and improving finance processes and systems as the business continues to scale, while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: • Lead, mentor, and develop a small, motivated finance team, • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, • Take full ownership of the Group Management Accounts process, • Ensure accurate and timely reporting across all entities, • Prepare financial reports for the B2B division, • Review and oversee reporting for the Consumer Division, • Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams, • Deliver clear financial insights, analysis, and commentary to non-financial stakeholders, • Review and approve weekly/monthly payment runs, • Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance (liaising with external advisors where needed), • Prepare statutory accounts for multiple standalone entities, • Support year-end processes, including audit, accounts finalisation, and tax filings, • Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities, • Provide actionable insights to support business growth and decision-making, • Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities, • Implement strategies to optimise financial performance, • Review systems, processes, and controls, • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability within finance Requirements: • ACA or ACCA qualified, • Proven experience managing or supervising a team, • Background in practice (audit or similar) looking for a first move into industry, or existing Finance Manager experience in a small to mid-sized business, • Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a small team, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Advanced MS Excel skills (essential), • Working knowledge of Sage 200 (desirable), • Ability to lead, influence, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
