Learning & Development Manager – Financial Services Fareham – Onsite £50k + performance bonus (c£10k) Ark is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, specialist financial services business with ambitious and exciting plans for growth for 2026 and beyond. The company is committed to developing high-performing professionals through structured learning, coaching, and strong customer-first values – that’s where you come in… They are now looking to appoint an experienced Learning & Development Manager to design and deliver a comprehensive training programme for new starters entering a regulated advisory environment, primarily in sales but also responsible for CPD across all departments in the business. This role would suit someone with proven L&D experience delivering end-to-end training programmes, particularly within sales-led, professional, or regulated environments. Industry background is flexible - what matters most is your ability to build, deliver, and embed high-quality training. The Role As L&D Manager you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering a structured training framework that takes new starters from induction through to full competency. You’ll design engaging learning content, deliver classroom and 121 sessions, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure trainees are fully prepared to move into live, client-facing roles. This is a hands-on role with real influence, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping capability, coaching performance, and building learning programmes that drive commercial and customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Design and deliver a structured induction and training programme for new starters., • Deliver training across technical knowledge, regulatory standards, sales capability, and customer outcomes., • Facilitate classroom-based, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions – organising and running two training academies per year., • Create engaging learning materials, assessments, case studies, and role play scenarios., • Track trainee progress through structured reviews, feedback, and development plans., • Work closely with Sales Managers and senior leaders to support the transition from training to live roles., • Embed strong customer-first principles and regulatory standards into all training activity., • Maintain accurate training records and contribute to continuous improvement of learning programmes., • Support ongoing development and upskilling initiatives as the business evolves. About You We’re looking for a confident, credible trainer with a strong background in learning and development. You’ll bring: Essential: • Proven experience designing and delivering structured training programmes., • Experience training individuals from entry level through to competency and CPD., • Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills., • Ability to operate confidently in a regulated or compliance-led environment., • A practical, engaging training style with a focus on measurable outcomes. Desirable (but not essential): • Background in financial services, lending, or professional services., • Understanding of regulated sales environments and customer duty principles., • Familiarity with CRM systems or digital learning platforms., • L&D or instructional design qualification.
