This is a tiny kitchen team where your skill shine. We expect high standards of food quality, presentation and service. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and motivating a very small kitchen team, • Developing attractive, commercially viable menus, • Managing stock control, ordering and food cost targets, • Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards, • Delivering consistent, high-quality food for members and guests, • Supporting club events, private functions and special dining occasions (these would be in addition to the general service Thurs – Sunday), • Creating an organised and efficient kitchen operation The Winchester House Club is a friendly and well-established private members' club in the heart of Putney. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help shape the next chapter of our food offering. This is a hands-on role for a chef who enjoys producing quality food in a welcoming club environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence menus, improve kitchen operations and build a strong reputation for consistently excellent food. About You The ideal candidate will: • Have previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, • Level 3 accreditation in Food Hygiene, • Be very well organised with excellent leadership skills, • Understand food cost control and kitchen financial performance, • Be calm, reliable and professional under pressure, • Have a passion for quality food and hospitality, • Have a complete understanding of food safety and compliance requirements This appointment is subject to a three-month probationary period.
