Role summary We are looking for a GDC registered Dental Technician to maintain and grow our highly regarded orthodontic team. Experience / Responsibilities • Fabricate and repair orthodontic dental appliances according to dentist specifications. Role Overview We are seeking an IT Consultant to support the development, deployment, and improvement of software and AI-enabled solutions across our internal environment and client projects. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work remotely, attend our office as required, and travel to client locations when project delivery or technical support is needed. You will contribute to software development tasks, data workflows, automation, system integration, and technical support for enterprise applications ensuring high-quality delivery, secure handling of data, and excellent client outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and support software solutions and technical improvements aligned to business requirements., • Assist with data preparation, validation, and transformation (cleaning, structuring, QA checks) for analytics and AI workflows., • Support development and deployment of machine learning / AI-enabled solutions where applicable., • Work with cloud-based tools and services across Azure/AWS/GCP to support scalable delivery., • Support technical implementation of automation scripts and reporting tools (e.g., Excel automation, basic Python)., • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into deliverable tasks., • Contribute to system documentation, technical guides, and handover notes for internal and client use., • Support incident resolution and technical troubleshooting across enterprise systems when required., • Follow best practices for data protection, access control, and secure handling of client information in line with UK GDPR., • Attend client sites when required for project delivery, onboarding, troubleshooting, or stakeholder engagement. Essential Skills & Experience • Strong technical capability in software development / systems support within a professional environment., • Experience supporting enterprise technologies such as:, • Windows 10/11, Office 365 / Microsoft 365, • Active Directory / Azure AD, MFA, user provisioning and access control, • Understanding of data workflows, including:, • Data cleaning, validation, dataset QA, structured outputs (CSV/Excel/Sheets), • Basic to intermediate skills in:, • SQL (queries, data checks), • Python (basic scripting/automation), • Experience using ticketing or service tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, Freshdesk (advantage)., • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage priorities, and work to deadlines/SLA expectations., • Confident communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.     Salary: SCP 12-17 (£28,592 – £31,022 per year, 2025/26 rates) Hours: 37 hours per week (including evenings and weekends) Barry Town Council is seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Engagement & Events Support Officer to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Engagement and Events Team and to the Mayor. This varied and rewarding role is central to the smooth delivery of civic life in Barry, supporting mayoral duties, community engagement and a wide programme of civic and corporate events throughout the year. The postholder will be responsible for managing the Mayor’s diary and correspondence, coordinating invitations and engagements, and providing comprehensive administrative support to the Engagement and Events Team. Duties will include maintaining civic records and assets, managing contact databases in line with GDPR, supporting the administration of the Mayor’s charity account, and ensuring civic facilities, robes and regalia are maintained to a high standard. You will also assist with enquiries, compile data for reports, provide cover for committee administration when required, and support services such as the Council’s Litter Picking Loan Scheme. A key element of the role is supporting the planning and delivery of civic, mayoral and community events, including major annual occasions such as Mayor Making, the Civic Service and Remembrance activities. You will take responsibility for organising smaller events, liaising with partners and community groups, assisting with publicity, social media and graphic design, and attending events to support their successful delivery. The role also includes helping to prepare press releases and ensuring the Council’s event information is kept up to date and accessible. We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic individual with strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and a positive, can-do approach.
