Ref: 41 Role: Project Engineer Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum plus company car Location: Sheffield Benefits: • 40 Hours a week, Full Time Employment, • Competitive Commission scheme, • Company Car, fuel card, laptop & mobile phone, • 33 Holidays (including bank holidays), • Free Holiday on your Birthday, • 5 and 10 year Long Service Awards, • Company Uniform & all required PPE provided, • Contributory Pension Scheme, • 2 x basic wage death in service benefit, • Opportunities for development, • Private on-site gym facilities, • Westfield Health, • Eye Test Vouchers, • Access to Reward Gateway (discount platform), • Employee of the month award The Role: • To effectively manage all aspects of project delivery from order to installation, on a wide range of engineer projects ranging up to £100k., • Attend project handover meetings with Sales Engineers., • Prepare technical specifications and material lists for projects., • Liaise with suppliers to purchase materials and equipment., • Coordinate site activities for project delivery., • Assist with labour planning for projects., • Create technical engineering drawings and documentation., • Develop project programmes as required., • Monitor project time, cost, and scope; address issues promptly., • Produce risk assessments and method statements for project delivery., • Store and organise project documentation within the technical files, • Lead assigned projects with minimal supervision., • Arrange and attend site visits with customers and for project kick-off., • Ensure project output meets budget expectations., • Negotiate and manage contracts and services for project needs., • Adhere to Health and Safety laws and relevant regulations., • Identify contract variations and negotiate costs with clients., • Support sales engineers on technical site visits and quotations., • Create technical files, acceptance documents, manuals, and records. Essential Requirements: • Experience of handling and successfully delivering engineering projects., • An Engineering Degree or Equivalent (HNC/HND), • Effective time management and organisational skills., • A detailed knowledge of Engineering, and heavy machinery., • Experience in leading / managing engineering teams., • Excellent Communication skills., • Effective problem-solving skills., • Competent in MS Word & Excel, • Strong understanding of technical engineering drawings (Mechanical & Electrical), • Competent in MS Project.
