Role Overview We Are Care is seeking caring and reliable Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join a dedicated team supporting elderly individuals with dementia in a specialist nursing and dementia care setting. This opportunity involves working within a well-established residential environment where empathy, consistency, and attentiveness are key. You’ll be supporting with a mix of personal care, mobility, mealtime assistance, and companionship. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to residents’ needs Assist with personal hygiene, continence care, and dressing Support during mealtimes including feeding assistance Monitor and record observations accurately Promote dignity, respect, and emotional reassurance Engage residents in light activities or therapeutic routines Escalate safeguarding or medical concerns as required What We’re Looking For At least 6 months’ experience in a care or support setting Confidence in supporting individuals with dementia and elderly care needs Mandatory care training completed within the last 12 months Enhanced DBS check (on update service preferred) Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate, patient, and committed to care excellence Must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: £12.65 – £15.93 Flexible working pattern (days/nights/weekends) Ongoing training and development support Holiday pay, pension scheme, and fortnightly pay 24/7 support from a dedicated management team Long-term temporary assignment with opportunity for repeat placements
